I think the last two races have shown me what I love doing and that is real off road running. A blog to track my running. From nothing to something! Brighton Marathon 2013 Plan. Tuesday, 17 April 2012. 262 miles of fun! Well, I did it! I completed the Brighton Marathon in 5:10 :) if I hadn't stopped for the loo 4 times on the way round my time would have been 4:50 (I'll post the Garmin data later) but a mix of nerves and drinking too much early on meant I really needed to stop! Anyway, this is a photo of my medal :) I will post more details of the race and more photos later. 18 April 2012 at 08:04.

Well, for me this year it has been a very fine line marathon training between doing enough training and doing too much and getting injured. I think it was at this point I realised that all this started when I changed my trainers. So, I switched back to my old pairs (they had been relegated to dog walking duties). and carried on training. So, I ended up with a rather bright pink pair of trainers!

Well, I've passed my final written exam and practical assessments to become a fully qualified UK Athletics running coach :). I have to say that I spent more time revising for this than I have for any other exam in my life.
