Walking and Writing: July 2011
http://walkingandwriting.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

With equivalent schemes in Belfast and Aberystwyth. Where each w...

January 16, 2015. John said, ‘A man looks better with a beer in his hand’, so I took one. It was 11.30am. I drank and he spoke. It was a big night, a great night, he’d swept her off her feet. And now it was time to go, she had to make a decision. She thought about her man, asleep and dribbling: the black ink on his fingertips smudging the sofa. ‘Well? She slipped off her heels, ran like the wind, and just made the last bus to Peckham. Stunted stories and paltry poems by Andy Hayes. Two thousand and fourteen receipts. Newer posts →. 14 Down by the river. May 21, 2016. I spotted the road to Cockermouth, found a good place to stick out my thumb, and held up a hastily scrawled sign. It was a short way from a set of traffic lights, so I could be seen before the cars and trucks gained too much speed and whizzed by. I got out Chaucer’s. Why not just enjoy the trip for what it was? The hostel was an old stone mill house right by the river, ba...
