Live, Love, Learn, Laugh. Amy and Louis Storyboard. Water Experiment →. August 11, 2009. We have been investigating 2D shapes that tesselate. We know that shapes tesselate when they fit together with no gaps. You can see in our photos that triangles, rectangles, hexagons and squares tesselate. Circles do not tesselate. Can you see the gaps? Circles do not tesselate. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Amy and Louis Storyboard. Water Experiment →. One response to “ Tesselating Patterns.

Live, Love, Learn, Laugh. Open Classrooms →. Who has the biggest shoe? April 9, 2009. Today in maths we had to count how many cubes could fit into our shoe. We wrote the number on a note. Then we made a number line out of our shoes. It was hard working out where our shoe should go! Our smallest shoe measured 12 cubes. Our biggest shoes measured 36 cubes. Wow, we have some big feet in our class. Take a look at our shoe number line. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Open Classrooms →.

Live, Love, Learn, Laugh. Bye bye butterflies →. April 9, 2009. We have a butterfly! Look at the photos to see it emerge from the chrysallis. It has orange, white and black wings. We love watching it flap its wings. Slowly it changed colour. Then the butterfly started to come out of its chrysalis. The chrysalis was empty and see-through. We still have one green chrysalis. Our butterfly showed its beautiful wings. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Bye bye butterflies →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Live, Love, Learn, Laugh. Who has the biggest shoe? Amy and Louis Storyboard →. June 19, 2009. On Tuesday, our parents came to visit our classroom. We designed a T-shirt for them. We interviewed our parents to find out their needs and wants. We asked questions like:. What size are you? What colour do you like? Do you want long sleeves or short sleeves? Would you like a V neck or a round neck? Do you want a picture or some writing on your T-shirt? Do you want a zipper or buttons? Do you need pockets?
