The Diary of a Nobody

The Diary of a Nobody. 15 February 2010 @ 04:42 pm. So, I've got my heart set on moving to Korea this summer. I'd been hoping for Japan for so many years, but I think it's time to think of something different, and the set up costs in Korea are much, much lower. So I'm applying for jobs just now. But really I just need to rant because I am so sick of reading the endless blog entries written by people about clothes dryers (or, if you're in the UK, tumble dryers! I had two flatmates in their mid 20s (!

EPIK: tefl

http://tefl.livejournal.com/188143.html

Does anyone have any resources on or experiences with the EPIK programme in Korea? I’m a bit confused as to how they operate, I know it’s a government scheme but I was wondering if there was a nationalised system or whether it varies from school to school. I think the confusion lies mainly with the fact it seems to be advertised by independent recruiters rather than on its own (unlike the JET scheme for Japan, for example). Thanks in advance, I’m happy to hear your views! Post a new comment.

Taiwan (and South Korea): tefl

http://tefl.livejournal.com/188456.html

Taiwan (and South Korea). I’m hoping to teach English in Taiwan (or maybe South Korea) from late May or June. I’m leaning towards Taiwan, because I:. Have already been to South Korea and I crave adventure. Want to live somewhere that is warm/hot (preferably near a decent beach). Would like to improve on my very basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. So Even though I’ve done considerable research into both countries, could any of you possibly help me out with the following queries? How did you find it?

A bit of a nerd. I dream of a new home. The question block lamp. This is so going in my bedroom! Only 9 days left of it’s kickstarter so hurry if you want be one of the firsts to get it. The USS Enterprise 1701-E Lcars Display. I wouldn’t mind one of these over my couch. If I need a shower curtain I might go for this one. Off course I’m gonna need a new doorbell.
