Allison Wonderland: August 2014
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 5, 2014. A quick update on the hospital project in Guatemala! Adonai received the money needed to transport the container to Guatemala. (See previous post here. Which is so awesome! While the container was being packed in the States, much activity was taking place in Guatemala. Although the land was pretty level, it still needed some fill dirt to get it completely ready. They have moved over 100 loads of dirt from the river. It is almost ready to grade. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Allison Wonderland: Finding Our Rhythm
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2015/03/finding-our-rhythm.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Some sort of routine seems to help our family function a little bit better. Doesn't really matter where we live. Our drive through Mexico and then our first week here were anything but routine for us. Our next week was a great week with the Lifegate team, but again, no 'routine' that week. We drove the Suburban up to a place to park and then followed the trail to the beginning of the canal. This is the 3rd time that we have gone on this hike in all of the times that we have...

Allison Wonderland: So Amazing!
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2015/03/so-amazing.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. A bunch of us walked over to the hospital property yesterday to watch the concrete pour that was going on. The footings are completely done so this pour was the 2nd to last one for the stem walls. They are planning the last pour for some time next week! Those of us that were gawking at the process taking place decided that it was very similar to making a cake! Here are a few pictures of the process! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Allison Wonderland: October 2014
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. House for Sale . . soon! As you all have figured out by now, we are moving! We are still working on getting our house ready for sale. This is such a walk of faith - it feels like we are running out of time! We have always thought that we would be hiring a realtor and doing it the 'normal' way. However, we had engaged one realtor who was not very excited about listing our home. Weird, right? Wouldn't be the first time! Here is a picture of our neighborhood from the back of our lo...

Monday, April 13, 2015. Adonai (with the help of many! Filled a container with plumbing and other hospital construction supplies and shipped it down to Guatemala in early March. Everything was all going great - in fact, the container arrived at port earlier than expected! Anyway, this is typical Guatemala! And the Lord used these 'complications' to put His focus and His plan in front of us! Aka - the prayer room! Kyla took these awesome photos on the hospital property this morning! Getting the dirt ready.

Allison Wonderland: Happy Easter!
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2015/04/happy-easter.html
Sunday, April 5, 2015. While we were still weak, at the right time. Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—. God shows his love for us in that. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore,. We have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from. The wrath of God. While we were enemies. Reconciliation." - Romans 5:6-11. Happy Easter to all! 15555 West Dodge Road.

Allison Wonderland: Arrival of the Container
http://allisonfamilyinguat.blogspot.com/2015/04/arrival-of-container.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Arrival of the Container. This last Friday, we got up early to receive the second container for the hospital. With delays at the port, followed by more delays at the port, we should not have been surprised that it was not there when we arrived. Due to the length of the containers themselves and the condition of the roads, they are being housed two hours away from us in Quiche. Now the real work began. Watch the edge Ryan! A large part of his grade includes a research paper as well as a public service announcement focused on a crisis. He choose to do both around the malnutrition issues that we see here in Guatemala. His video was posted on facebook but in case you missed it, there is a link here. You all are a blessing to us! 15555 West Dodge Road.
