Tuesday, 23 April 2013. Ivinghoe Beacon Loop walk 22nd April 2013. I set off from home to drive to Ivinghoe Beacon.After just over an hours drive,I arrive at the National Trust car park for Ivinghoe Beacon, on the left of minor road to Ringshall, 1km (0.5 miles) south off the B489, Grid Ref SP96216. I leave the car park and walk down a hill towards the beacon,to my right is the Whipsnade White Lion. I have started to climb now up Gallows Hill along the ridge towards the Beacon. Sunday, 2 August 2015. Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Whiteside 30th July 2015. On the 30th July 2015 I set off from the Park Resorts Site (Regent Bay) in Morecambe to climb Helvellyn. This was the only dry day forecasted for the week. I really didn't want to tackle Striding Edge if the rocks were wet. I arrived in Glenridding after nearly an hours drive and parked up in the Glenridding car park and paid the £8 fee for the day. Helvellyn is the third-highest point both in England. 950 m (3,120 ft).
