Tuesday, January 15, 2013. We’ve never liked the dull gray/white carpet in this room. Or the. Floral wallpaper. So, one Wednesday afternoon near the end of August, Matt decided he wanted to see what the floor looked like underneath. It turned out to be a pretty big job getting all that carpet up. Because of the roundness of the room, there were tack strips and staples along every inch to try to keep the carpet straight. The inside of the fireplace has some pretty special bricks ;). A smorgisborg of owls.

Monday, February 24, 2014. These girls are so excited to have another baby in the family! As soon as we told Lily, she spilled the beans to her preschool teachers. Emma doesn't really understand how her world is going to change. But we are all very excited for this new little one to make it’s debut at the beginning of September. I have been working all summer long training for it and it is done and over with today! In the last month alone I shaved a minute off my miles and that is pretty good! Even with hills. Sunny days at the park in between all the snow. She suddenly loves unloading the dishes. Cried through her first dance performance. Birthday lunch @ Snooze. They bake my birthday cake. March 27, 2015. That time I fell in love with San Francisco. Clara and I escaped the January snow and spent a few days staying with Kristin and M in Menlo Park (right near Stanford/Palo Alto) and LOVED our time there. They were wonderful hosts (tiny crowded apartment and all- we are used to such things! I would live in the Bay area in a heartbeat if it wasn't so unreasonably expensive. Anyway, we spent a lot of time soaking up the sun and exploring downtown one day. Ah, that sun! August 15, 2006.
