We were fortunate enough to get to enjoy some of the gaming events on their last day of the fair. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. While in Lake Chelan over the weekend, we visited friends' property up in the hillside above the lake. The feeder they have hanging feeds at least a dozen little hummingbirds. They are such amazing little creatures with their feet tucked in like landing gear and wings humming constantly. I could have sat and watched them for hours. Tyce's first season of soccer. Kaari cheering on Tyce while she waits to run off to her own game. Reid's 2nd run of the month - Capital City 1.2K.

Sunday, August 12, 2012. Rose Gardens - Portland, OR. We enjoyed an outing to the Portland Rose Gardens. While I don't grow any roses at my house, it's impossible not to appreciate the beauty and diversity of these flowers. Not to mention, the very fun and creative names of all the different roses (wish I'd written my favorites down). This dragon fly was huge and very cool looking. I was able to get a couple shots of him before he flew off to the next rose. The gals and me in the gardens.

We, with another good friend went hiking to Punchbowl Falls and completely enjoyed the beautiful NW scenary. We were far from alone on this gorgeous day. Sunday, August 1, 2010. Jessica Little - "X and Y". X and Y" - what? Is that supposed to represent man and woman, lat/long, X axis/Y axis on graph? I don't know but as I weeded my garden I started looking at the pumpkin plants and the little tendrils that attach to everything and anything. I noticed this new pumpkin in the making and saw what I never would've seen without this weeks long shot on the mind. Shot at 85mm plus extension tubes on the tripod. ISO 100, f4.5, 1/100 sec, spot metering.
