The aim of the AHRAVUO project was to develop numerical tools to a level that makes it possible to simulate, in 3D, how ice ridges fail when interacting with a structure. Numerical tools can then be used to study the main factors that determine the loads. Experimental verification was based on previously accomplished measurements. Main tasks are following:. 1) Development of 3D-material models. The shear-cap material model for ice rubble was improved for 3D -simulation.
