Sunday, June 27, 2010. My first two weeks in Akiak, AK has been awesome! Thursday, June 24, 2010. I went to a fish camp today and actually processed a fish. Meaning, I cut it's head off, took all the indards out, and fillet (sp? It for drying. They kept laughing at me because I was mutilating the fish. Monday, August 30, 2010. Staff and significant others were invited to the bday party of one of the children of a staffer. Cake and ice cream was such a treat. Cakes aren't so bad to get out here, it was homemade, but the ice cream always melts before you get back here. It was a fun relaxing time to hang out with all outside of school.
