Our foul Maine weather didn't 'fowl' our Thanksgiving day plans.Mount Desert Island was buffeted by a wind storm on Tuesday evening that left us without power for the better part of a day and a half. With a 62 mph wind gust recorded in Bar Harbor, we were lucky to have our power restored by late Wednesday evening to begin meal preparations. Mom and dad.young lovebirds. Monday, May 21, 2007. Thanks to Dad's late night hard work, Henning had dinosaur cupcakes to share with his Kids' Corner friends on his birthday. Lessons we have learned after our first real school party. 1) be sure that there is a pink dinosaur for every girl and a T-Rex for every boy! Henning and Ieuan had a sleep-over on Saturday night and the boys and I broke out early Sunday morning to visit Sand Beach, which we shared with only a few people. Friday, August 17, 2007. Having spent the previous night at the Harborside. Just down the street, it was quite a few rungs down the hospitality ladder.
