He has even said himself that he enjoys being vague and watching his students struggle because it's for our benefit. Which.I can kind of understand, but is this pretty typical? Any advice would be much appreciated. XD. 2008-09-27 04:23 pm (UTC). 2008-09-27 04:46 pm (UTC). I think that'd be an enormous help. But the fa...

Google Apps for Home Schoolers (or not): homeschool
http://homeschool.livejournal.com/65964.html
Google Apps for Home Schoolers (or not). Perhaps you've not heard of google apps, but I can't imagne that's the case. Essentially take g-mail, docs, calendar and their other tools bundle them together and you have google docs a great tool for businesses, schools and the like. Google, of course, recognizes that it's good to have all your stuff in one convenient place (and like that it's their place) so they're happy to have your business. So non-profits, depending on their size get in for free. Post a new...

How important is penmanship to you?: homeschool
http://homeschool.livejournal.com/65151.html
How important is penmanship to you? I came across this article. Which had me thinking about the value of penmanship. I have been told by several people I have incredibly beautiful handwriting, even when I'm just scribbling down a grocery list. However, every male in my family needs. Post a new comment. partial homeschooling: homeschool
http://homeschool.livejournal.com/65365.html
Has anyone had experience with partial homeschooling? In Delaware in particular? We home schooled our girls last year and they returned to public school this year. My older daughter really needs help with math due to a lack of concentration and generally she isn't that good in math. I really feel that her time would be better spent with US teaching her math for that 90 minutes (they do block scheduling). Any ideas anyone? State Dept. of Ed? Any help or ideas are appreciated. March 10th, 2009 (10:52 am). Today is Pork Chop's 10th birthday! Double digits. I really can't believe it's been ten years since this little simian snuck out of her cage and into our home. Happy birthday, my soccer-playing, jalapeno-eating, coffee drinking, fairy monkey white-shouldered warrior princess! Posted by: the clothier of the revolution (. R.I.P., Awkward Academy - Fossil Apostle: The Lost Teachings of Dr Awkward
http://fossilapostle.livejournal.com/371640.html
RIP, Awkward Academy. August 31st, 2009 (10:51 am). Awkward Academy has officially closed its doors. Today, I walked Nolah to the bus stop for her first day of sixth grade, and drove Aylish to her first day of Junior High. We had some challenges in other areas as well. I won't get started about homeschool skating, other than to say I really won't miss it. We'll still get to do things like that, for certain, but it won't quite be the same.
