Andrew Bulmer

September 26, 2009. I've always wanted to climb Mount Fuji, but by the time I got to Japan the offical climbing season was over. But there was still one hut open, and you are still allowed to climb, so I decided to give it a try. Of course it was too cloudy to actually see the sunrise, but the clouds cleared occasionally so we could see the crater for a few moments. It was too cloudy for us to find the summit until it cleared a bit. It was pretty cool to be up above the clouds at sunrise. There are more ...

Andrew Bulmer: Chester

http://andrewbulmer.blogspot.com/2008/08/chester.html

August 14, 2008. While growing up I spent many summers visiting my great-aunt and uncle, Marion and Johnny. It was really cool to go back and see all these places again. Andrew Bulmer: September 2007

http://andrewbulmer.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

September 11, 2007. Back in Darwin again. I went out to Litchfield Park. It wasn't as spectacular as Kakadu, but it was a nice relaxing day. Went swimming at some nice waterfalls. At one of the swimming holes there were a couple of Goannas, and they weren't shy at all, walked right up to people. They're a pretty big lizard, some of them can get up to two meters long. These weren't that big though, probably about one meter long. A nice view of the plain. Swimming at a waterfall. September 7, 2007. The lig...

Andrew Bulmer: January 2009

http://andrewbulmer.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

January 22, 2009. Hawaii has a pretty cool vibe, especially the North Shore of Oahu. This is where all the best surf spots are. Unfortunately the waves were a total mess the days I was there so no one was allowed to go out. There weren't any waves at all in Waikiki, but it was a nice little hike up Diamond Head, which is a volcanic crater nearby. Now I'm off to 日本! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Andrew Bulmer: Hopewell Rocks

http://andrewbulmer.blogspot.com/2008/08/hopewell-rocks.html

August 18, 2008. I think I should put some photos of something near to home on this thing. I haven't been to the Hopewell Rocks in a long time, so it was good to see it again. It was a really clear day, we could see all the way to Dorchester Cape from there. Also did some repelling at Cape Enrage. I'm not really that good with heights, but once I figured out what I was doing I was abseiling downthat cliff like a pro. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Sunday, 12 May 2013. I'm a little late with this post, as I visited Farndale 2 or 3 weeks ago! It's always worth a visit to Farndale to see the daffodils and for a walk along the river to see what wildlife is around. This photo of the Goldfinch was on the ariel at home, just before we set off - notice there was even a blue sky! Lambs enjoying the spring weather. Nuthatch busy nest building. Goldfinch looking good, still one of my favourites. Unusually scruffy Blue Tit. Daffodils in the woods. These were ...
