Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Sunday, May 4, 2014. I wanted to see if I could find a May Day celebration of this kind in Seattle. Not the other kind of May Day mischief Seattle is notorious for. Vignettes: Olympic Sculpture Park

http://www.annafarrell.blogspot.com/2014/04/olympic-sculpture-park.html

Sunday, April 27, 2014. My plan was to wander through the Olympic Sculpture Park, exposing the girls to a little art, and on into neighbouring Myrtle Edwards Park where we could ride and scoot along the waterfront path. The OSP was a hit. The girls loved the zigzagging paths and balancing along the stone walls. We enjoyed an exciting game of hide and seek in the giant steel curving waves ( Wake. Is this a sculpture or a seat Mummy? Can I climb on it? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, April 15, 2014. On our drive home from Aikido today L mused, "if we could take two things away from our world, I think they should be guns and cigarettes.". Amen The wisdom of a four a three quarter year old. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Simple template. Template images by gaffera.

Vignettes: January 2013

http://www.annafarrell.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 28, 2013. 5 Shots and a Ballet Performance. 5 shots for A today. Poor thing. She was understandably upset and lay in my lap helplessly crying. As each new needle went in she cried even louder and looked at me as though she was thinking "please make this stop." L was a wonderful big sister, singing songs to A, bestowing kisses, supplying teddies. A recovered quickly, but spent most of the day sleeping off the effects. Thursday, January 24, 2013. http://www.annafarrell.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 3, 2013. L has been talking about flying places for a while. Not in an airplane, but rather like a bird. Yesterday she decided it was time to give it a go. She was skipping around the garden wearing her butterfly wings while I was making supper. She called in through the window that she wanted to fly to Jamie's house and was that ok? Frank had wanted to fly. But he was a frog. And frogs can't fly . but they sure can swim! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared: September 2009

http://jessicaburg.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. I can't get my pictures to post the way I want. So they're a list of pictures*. Two trips to Oregon in four weeks? Visits with new and old friends on the beach and the city and the country! Rob and I spent those three hours in the front seat and it was almost like it was just the two of us again. Almost. And then Reed screamed. But man, was the drive beautiful.

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. A Reflection on 2009. Wow What a year. As I previously wrote, we are in the midst of moving. In two days the movers (yes, the movers, apparently we are fancy.or lazy.or overwhelmed by the prospect of moving five years worth of accumulation down three flights of stairs and up two, with a baby) will be here and they will take all of our stuff to Wallingford. Sometimes it has ...

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Holy crap. Babies can really suck the individuality out of a person. It seems to me that there is nothing more draining on a person than the demands of a new born child. The diapers and the nursing and the diapers and the nursing and the diapers and the nursing. There certainly isn't a ton of time for other pursuits. I also started and internship at the Vera Project. I am su...

http://jessicaburg.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. The original intention on this blog was to have something to do instead of homework. Its summer break, so I have nothing to put off. I suppose I could blame it on the baby, but he goes to sleep at 7:30 and pretty much stays that way for eleven hours.I hope writing that didn't just jinx us! Anyway, I could easily blog once he goes to bed, but I just haven't. Links to this post.

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Friday, July 24, 2009. How can a person not be grateful for this beautiful face? We have such a wonderful little boy. I am working on being appreciative and expressing gratitude for the .what is the right word? If I were a religious person, I would call him a miracle, even a blessing. But I'm not. What would be the atheistic version of that word? Either way, Reed is fantastic. Links to this post.

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared: And all of a sudden, two years had passed

http://jessicaburg.blogspot.com/2012/11/and-all-of-sudden-two-years-had-passed.html

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Sunday, November 18, 2012. And all of a sudden, two years had passed. That was at least five years away in the plan. So, finding myself completely unprepared for parenthood, I started this blog. Since then, I finished graduate school and raised that baby into a thriving toddler. Not bad for being unprepared for both. It's twins. What? I'm planning on using this blog to keep myself accountable on my new ...

Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Sunday, November 25, 2012. 131 miles or 13.1 pounds of baby. Today was the Seattle marathon. In January, I set the goal of running the half, or 13.1 miles. Instead, I found out about the pregnancy. And 9ish months later I gave birth to 13.1 pounds of baby. Samesies, right? Diaries of the Chronically UnPrepared. The tales of a perpetual procrastinator caught at a crossroads. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. So, I've been walking for a couple weeks now. Good news is that doctor ok'd me to start exercising. Bad news is that I weigh 193 pounds. Holy shit that's a lot. And that's after the two babies came out! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). World War I

This chart shows the amount of World War 1 Military Deaths for the Entente Powers. I was shocked to see how many people were killed during this time. I had no idea the numbers were so outrageous. I also thought about how many people went to war knowing their chance of survival and about how much nationalism affected the peoples mindset. Posted May 17, 2010 at 6:04pm.
