middle school learner

Monday, October 02, 2006. This past Friday night, I was awakened to the reality that middle school kids engage in extremely complex, sometimes good, sometimes ugly social interactions. Attending the Viking Homecoming game, I positioned myself right in front of the middle school mob and observed the way in which they interacted with one another. Posted by Middle School Journal at 8:10 PM. Monday, September 25, 2006. I’ll spread my wings and I’ll learn how to fly. Though it’s not easy to tell you goodbye.

Monday, September 11, 2006. The distinction between competitiveness on the field and a respect and/or friendship off of the field is not mentioned, rather competition = evil is conveyed. Not only the players get overly-hyped for this match-up. One player recalled the parent fights that errupted when the two teams met the previous year. Let's recap this matchup: kids hating eachother, parents throwing fists. What type of message is this sending adolescents? One section in Chapter three of Adolescence.

Monday, September 25, 2006. Kids listen to iPods, blast the radio in their rooms, download the coolest new music and sing along to their favorite songs with friends. Music is everywhere! I’ll spread my wings and I’ll learn how to fly. Though it’s not easy to tell you goodbye. Take a risk, take a chance. Make a change, and break away. Out of the darkness and into the sun. But I won’t forget the place I come from. I gotta take a risk, take a chance,. Make a change, and break away. The lyrics to this song a...

Tuesday, September 26, 2006. For this Trend Analysis, I did something that I have never done before: I watched MTV! The two shows I watched were Date My Mom and Parental Control. I picked these shows because they both suggested some parent-teen interaction, and I wanted to see how something like MTV would portray these relationships. Posted by BeckysBlog at 8:46 AM. Monday, September 18, 2006. Posted by Kelly Rodger @ 8:03 PM. Tuesday, September 12, 2006. The movie Thirteen is a good depiction of some of the events that middle schoolers are faced with. Although the teachers are not very well highlighted in this film, after a brief synopsis I will discuss the importance of teachers in middle schoolers life. I really believe that the movie ending is beautiful, I cannot think of another way to end the movie. This movie is highly recommended. Monday, September 04, 2006.

http://sigridmarenespe060986.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

Life in Middle School. Monday, September 18, 2006. One thing that really bothered me, was during my last visit, I noticed the looks the kids got when I was sitting with them. You could tell they were the table that got made fun of and ridiculed. I recall as those children were entering the lunch room.many snickered and made fun of them. Why is there such a heirarchy in schools? Posted by Sigrid Maren at 11:22 PM. Monday, September 11, 2006. Posted by Sigrid Maren at 6:41 PM. Monday, September 04, 2006.

Monday, March 13, 2006. Posted by Kelly Rodger @ 8:23 AM. Sunday, March 05, 2006. We have been discussing behavioral rewards and punishments for a while now, in all of my ED classes. It is a very debatable issue. I believe that without rewards or punishment there would be chaos. For example when people first get a puppy, they train it. How do they train the puppy? With rewards such as treats or with punishments such as a slap on the behind. How do we train any animal to perform? View my complete profile.

Sunday, August 3, 2014. This afternoon was spent feasting on nachos and wandering around the city buying bits and pieces for my upcoming Melbourne trip. I'm especially excited because this will be my first time travelling down to the state of Victoria. What's even more exciting is that we are going to go an Alpine resort to frolic around in the snow, this is another first for me. I have never experienced snow before! I would love to hear of any recommendations on where I must visit while in Melbourne.

ALLOW . LOVE . HEAL

My healing began when I took my first class in Reiki. What came next was a life transformed: powered by love and supported by trust. I follow this path of healing, trusting that by example of love others will grow to love and support themselves in the same way. Reiki is but one step in a long path of discovery, illumination, and freedom. - Annalise. Practicing at Connecting Point Wellness. 314 Main St., Suite 10. Great Barrington, MA 01230.
