Friday, February 24, 2012. Photo a day challenge. February 21 pic of myself. I found this journal entry in our old vacation diary. It's a record of when our family went to northern California,. Erin must have been about . 12 years old she wrote in here about seeing the tide pools. February 19th what I hate the most. If I never argue again for the rest of my life, that will be good. Did I tell you how wonderful Don is? That every morning he awakens me with a gentle kiss and a cup of coffee. My closet has ...

Monday, June 30, 2014. It was crazy good in Ephesus. They were pummeled by the demon because God doesn’t shrug at those who speak for Him when they don’t even know Him. He acts in such cases, and sometimes severely. The bonfire? When the fear of God falls on people, repentance leads to reformation. Bondages are broken and lives are changed. So, yes, these were crazy days in Ephesus. Good crazy. Did their website read, “Have demon, will travel”? Was their phone number 1-800-COME-OUT? Monday, June 23, 2014.

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Did John the Baptist and Jesus make up baptism? In the last two days I got asked this question twice in close succession: "Where did John the Baptist and Jesus come up with the practice of baptism? A simple word search for "baptism" in the Old Testament turns up no matches. However by the time John the Baptist shows up on the scene and starts dunking people "for forgiveness of sins" ( Mark 1:4. People seem to already have an understanding of what baptism is. Where God says, "I ...

Monday, September 29, 2014. These became followers of the way. They are in good company. Perhaps the most famous antagonist of the Christian faith was none other than Saul of Tarsus. It was while he was on his way to arrest followers of the Way that he met the risen Lord, Jesus of Nazareth. Paul became a believer that day and spent the rest of his life trying to persuade others to follow Jesus. Why did the early disciples refer to themselves as belonging to “the Way? Monday, December 29, 2014. This manger scene was different. Throughout the story, the children sat in amazement as they listened. Some sat on the edges of their stools, trying to grasp every word. He asked Jesus, “If I keep you warm, will that be a good enough gift? 8221; And Jesus told Misha that would be the best gift anybody had ever given him. “So,” Misha said, “I got into the manger, and then Jesus looked at me and he told me I could stay with him — for always.”. This manger scene was different....

Saturday, February 28, 2015. You're Lucky. Your Dad Loves You.". When I was a kid, my grandmother happened to live right next to us. She had a large room on the side of her house that she turned into an apartment to rent out. One day my dad came home from work and playfully wrestled with me and my siblings in the yard. These two young boys were outside with us when he did this, and once he went inside they said to us:. 8220;You guys are lucky.”. 8221; we asked. 8220;Because your dad loves you.”. While th...

Monday, May 11, 2015. Do angels have wings? And speaking of angels, how many of them could dance on the head of a pin? Did Adam and Eve have a pet? Will there be baseball in heaven? You’ve heard the story of the two men who argued about that, and then one died. A week later, he visited his friend in a dream. He said, “I have good news and bad news. The good news is there’s baseball in heaven. The bad news is you’re pitching Friday.”. Or write books about them? Or spend our lives to defend them? The sad t...

This August we are having fun exploring our church cookbook, we are putting some of the recipes to the test. How will they turn out when we make them? I asked the ladies of the church to pick out a recipe, prepare it and send me a pic. I will be adding a new recipe picture every day as they come in. I hope you enjoy our culinary adventure.
