Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling: Co-Rider - No Longer Just the Passenger
http://arleneprettymotorcycling.blogspot.com/2012/08/co-rider.html
Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling. Saturday, 25 August 2012. Co-Rider - No Longer Just the Passenger. Ed and I with his new Ultra Limited. Before we were married, my husband and I worked together in a job where lives depended on. Sometimes couples seem as though their ride has been choreographed, moving seamlessly. Typically, they’re communicating the whole time. Communication doesn’t require an intercom; nudging, pointing, nodding, key words, (“Bambi! We have followed bikes where the passenger is bounding ar...

Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling: August 2012
http://arleneprettymotorcycling.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling. Monday, 27 August 2012. Co-Rider to Rider, Do I or Don't I? Thinking about making the move from the back seat to the front; or more appropriately, moving to a rider from a co-rider? It’s not an easy decision to make. It took me 7 years and 100,000 miles to make the move myself. After riding my own 4 years now, including a trip from coast to coast and talking to women all over the country I thought I would share some of my thoughts on the subject. My First Long Ride - 2009.

Arlene Pretty - Cruising: Cruise from Hell - Drugged on a Ship
http://arleneprettycruising.blogspot.com/2012/08/cruise-from-hell-drugged-on-ship.html
Arlene Pretty - Cruising. My stories, feelings, and opinions about cruising. Monday, 20 August 2012. Cruise from Hell - Drugged on a Ship. What better way to celebrate a birthday than to go on a cruise? Celebrating my birthday with a new friend. After a song or two, the band acknowledged my birthday, what another nice surprise. We danced and danced and danced some more while the band played. We even danced to the canned music between their sets. It was a great evening, calm seas (making it ea...Then I co...

"Pretty Much Anything": Maybe God Wanted us to Meet the Wrong People
http://arleneprettyjuststuff.blogspot.com/2012/08/maybe-god-wanted-us-to-meet-wrong-people.html
Monday, 20 August 2012. Maybe God Wanted us to Meet the Wrong People. Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong people before. Meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the. Right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another. Opens, but often times we look so long at the closed. Door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit. Know what we have been missing until it arrives.

"Pretty Much Anything": Three Eleven (3:11) - A Lifelong Connection
http://arleneprettyjuststuff.blogspot.com/2012/08/three-eleven-311-lifelong-connection.html
Monday, 20 August 2012. Three Eleven (3:11) - A Lifelong Connection. Mom and I about 1975. Mom and I had a special relationship, on a very unique level. She had the ability to sense when I was in trouble and needed her. Not in the traditional mother’s intuition way that all mothers have with their children. This was different and far deeper than that, or perhaps even higher. There was no doubt it was on a different level. I was working downtown as a dishwasher at a restaurant. The only other people out o...

Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling: Always Wear Your Protective Gear
http://arleneprettymotorcycling.blogspot.com/2013/07/always-wear-your-protective-gear.html
Arlene Pretty - Motorcycling. Thursday, 4 July 2013. Always Wear Your Protective Gear. I have been meaning to write this post for quite some time but never seemed to get around to it. After yesterday, I have decided now is the time. There was a motorcycle accident on Highway #1 in British Columbia yesterday in the HOV lane. Our son-in-law, Derek was right there next to the bike when he went down. The fool wasn’t wearing any protective clothing, only a t-shirt! Ed and I May 2011. We have seen a lot, exper...
