Organised jointly with Mendeley and the Royal Institution. Nothing unusual about that of course. What's interesting is that they are charging £10 (that's about (US)$16 or L$4100) to attend for the day. I'm sure this isn't a first but it'll be interesting to see how it works out in terms of uptake. The cost itself doesn't look to be too unreasonable. The price...

Thursday, 22 January 2009. As a spare time activity I'm putting together an exhibition of posters by Tom Eckersley. 160;for the ArtsPlace gallery on Eduserv Island. The posters, 24 of them, have been selected (and used with permission) from the Eckersley Archive hosted by the Visual Arts Data Service (VADS). As with any activity like this in the UK, clearing rights over the images has taken a while but I'm grateful to staff at VADS for dealing with this side of things on my behalf. Links to this post.
