Artful Accents: July 2013

http://artfulaccents.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 20, 2013. Blog Hop Challenge Reveal! What a delightful surprise it was to find out that I was one of the winners of a blog hop challenge giveaway! And the host of this blog hop is the talented Rebekah of Tree Wings Studio. She creates with polymer clay and makes the most adorable little forest creatures like the ones below. The beads that Rebekah created for the giveaway are pictured below. They are just stunning, full of color and texture. Rebekah, thank you so much for your generosity!

Artful Accents: First Published Pieces!

http://artfulaccents.blogspot.com/2012/08/first-published-pieces.html

Monday, August 13, 2012. Ever since I started making jewelry, I have subscribed to beading magazines. I have studied the pictures of designs, admired the skill of the designers who created them, and dreamed of having a piece of my jewelry in one of the magazines someday. I was so excited (like, squealing-and-jumping-up-and-down excited)! After patiently waiting, this finally came in my mail today. Stringing Fall 2012 issue. On page 56 of the Fall issue of Stringing, you will find these earrings featured.

Artful Accents: August 2013

http://artfulaccents.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 22, 2013. What's In A Name, Revisited. For several years now, I have named all of my jewelry designs. I wrote about it in a previous blog post. While I began the process with enthusiasm, now it has become somewhat of a burden. Many of you have told me how much you enjoy seeing the names that I give to designs. Despite that encouragement, I have decided to end the tradition. Shakespeare might have been been onto something! Posted by Kathy Artful Accents. Thursday, August 22, 2013. Publish...

Artful Accents: Red Poppy

http://artfulaccents.blogspot.com/2013/01/red-poppy.html

Friday, January 4, 2013. In 2012, I set a goal for myself to submit some designs for the chance at publication in jewelry design magazines. I'm happy to say that I submitted.goal accomplished! And even happier to say that I had 4 designs accepted in 2012! Pictured below is my bracelet design accepted and published by Jewelry Stringing. In the Winter Issue. Pictured on far right side of page). I didn't squeal this time. But I'm pretty sure that my heart skipped a beat. :-). Posted by Kathy Artful Accents.

Artful Accents: From August to March

http://artfulaccents.blogspot.com/2014/03/from-august-to-march.html

Tuesday, March 18, 2014. From August to March. Yes indeed, I was out of blog posting mode for the past half year. Life has moved right along, and has been mostly good. I continue to deal with chronic health issues, but TRY to keep a joyful attitude and be grateful for the many gifts I've been blessed with. I decided that I wanted to learn how to knit…left-handed. I tried it using my right hand as the dominant hand, but I'm just not that coordinated! I found that the Clover soft touch crochet hooks work b...

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. My desire is that the dreamgiver continues to shape this Heart of Clay. What are you here for? I am Blessed →. Home… I just want to be home. November 3, 2011. I wake with a stretch and a humph as I roll over to look at the time. I can feel my surroundings aren’t familar and realize even as my eyes are barely open that I am away from my home.I smell campfire on my clothes remembering where I am. I’m not sure what home looks like anymore. Because he formed us.

Artful Accents | handcrafted jewelry

I have been making jewelry since 2006. Although my creative style has evolved over the years, I continue to strive to make pieces that are unique and affordable. Typically I work with antiqued silver and antiqued brass, but if you see a piece that you would like me to rework in sterling silver, I will be happy to give you an estimate. My favorite beads to use are Czech glass and gemstones. For a description about each of my new collection lines and to see sources of inspiration for these pieces. My educa...
