Artful Imagination: September 2012
http://artfulimagination.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 26, 2012. I am still working with the Distressed Glue technique that I used in the previous post. It really is a lot of fun and so easy to do. Since the leaves are already changing here and Fall is my favorite time of year, I decided to use my new Autumn Accents Bigz Die. I love the oak leaf on the die and this technique gives some great depth and interest to the piece. Since the leaves are so "polished" and bold I wanted to give the card some texture, so I Inlaid Embossed the mat pi...
Artful Imagination: Paper Scraps and Craft Shows
http://artfulimagination.blogspot.com/2012/12/paper-scraps-and-craft-shows.html
Saturday, December 1, 2012. Paper Scraps and Craft Shows. If you're like me, you have a nice little stash of paper scraps. Well, in my case it's a rather large stash. As you may have read in previous posts, it's an ongoing challenge for me. I will get it cleaned up and organized and then when I start getting into craft fair mode or making larger projects, it just takes on a life of its own. A while back, but this is the first time I have made any. Very simple and easy to do. I used SU's slit punch (retir...

Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Amazing Opportunities and New Projects. Well, it's been a busy and interesting few months around here! I have so much to share with you. I will try to make it as brief and as painless as possible so that we can get to the projects I want to show you. And so far he has been doing great. I recently finished up the two annual craft fairs that I participate in and ended up with some surprising opportunities. In Michigan City, IN. I used the Apothecary Framelits to cut the base for...
Artful Imagination: In-Color Emboss Resist
http://artfulimagination.blogspot.com/2013/07/in-color-emboss-resist.html
Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Finally playing with some of the new catalog items. The new in-colors are great for summer projects and are a great compliment to Stampin' Up! S core colors. Warning-you may tend to get hungry when you use them though. :). Using a paint brush and some Versamark refill, I "painted" areas of the white cardstock for embossing. I decided to use white embossing powder instead of clear to make sure the white really popped against the colors. Feel Goods, Field Flowers. Apothecary Accents ...
Artful Imagination: January 2013
http://artfulimagination.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Even though I used the same stamp for the focal point, I created three different card types/styles. The SAB set Feeling Sentimental is a fun and actually very versatile set. Here is a group photo. The feminine version was done in a vintage/shabby style. For the embellishment I took a strip of Pink Pirouette and created a banner using the technique found in THIS. Feeling Sentimental, Something to Celebrate. Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Fan Fair DSP. I LOVE Sandi's addition ...

Sweet Impressions: Father's Bow Ties
http://alliohran.blogspot.com/2012/06/fathers-bow-ties.html
Monday, June 11, 2012. I can't believe that Father's Day is almost here! Where has the year gone? It's a good thing that I saw. Adorable card over on Stampin' Connection (website for Stampin Up demonstrators) by the talented, Artisan Award winning Heather Klump, to get me going. I liked this idea of creating bow ties and tried a couple different combinations. With my husband's suggestion that it was a little more masculine, we made the gray and yellow one for club this month. And the 3/4" circle punch.
