The humble creative endeavours of an art teacher…. Artist of the Week: Kikyz1313. May 12, 2013. I have followed this artist for some time: http:/ kikyz1313.deviantart.com/. Her technique is just stunning. Her style is an interesting mix of Egon Schiele and Victorian illustration but the subject matter is highly original. Each piece tells a dark and sinister story and makes one feel uncomfortable and unsure of how to respond. She is a real talent and destined for bigger things. Artist of the Week: Birni4.

The humble creative endeavours of an art teacher…. Artist of the Week: Birni4. April 10, 2013. This week I have chosen a highly unique drawing artist: http:/ birni4.deviantart.com/. His work is most probably classed as surreal but I see links with many artists’ styles including Escher, Bosch and Rivera. The humble creative endeavours of an art teacher…. April 8, 2013. Art teacher who doesn't conform to that awful stereotype of tie-dye skirts, handmade earrings and multi-coloured hair. I am passionate about many things, not least of all art. I don't consider myself particularly good but I do like to share what I have done. Her subjects are painted in a traditional style with symbolic imagery, yet there is also an element of the modern, making for an interesting juxtaposition.
