https://atltrihollywood.wordpress.com/2015/04/21/new-orleans-70-3-race-report
There Is No Spoon. Seemingly Random Musings through Training, Racing, and Life. New Orleans 70.3 Race Report. Roadtrip form Jax to NOLA…8.5 hours and 565 miles. Prerace day activities: WWII museum. Team pictures. Couple selfies. Being super touristy. Prerace dinner. Quinoa and black beans topped with salsa. The roads in NOLA are a bit sketchy, so the prerace WU/gear check was in the room on the trainer. I’m obviously studying the course maps…. And the prize for worst superhero ever goes to…. You are comm...

March Madness – There Is No Spoon
https://atltrihollywood.wordpress.com/2015/04/06/march-madness
There Is No Spoon. Seemingly Random Musings through Training, Racing, and Life. This isn’t a post about basketball. All I can tell you about March Madness is that I know Duke was in the Final Four and that my 10 year old brother is a sports stats phenom who’s bracket is going to win…for the 4th year in a row. He’s the rainman of sports. Anyway…this is a post about the madness that the last month entailed. In pictures captions form. Race season started in March at Los Olas in Ft. Lauderdale. Matt's Muse: May 2013
http://mattwhitely.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sharing my knowledge of the outdoors, triathlon and life in general. Saturday, May 11, 2013. Well the inaugural post for my blog is not about a great race I had or some awesome outdoor experience either. It is quite the opposite. This year I have decided to complete my first FULL REV triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run) at. Cedar Point HALF REV 2011. As you guessed it, there is not definite time table either. WTF! For a type A personality like mine, these answers sucked! Challenge R...
Matt's Muse: Family Racing Weekend
http://mattwhitely.blogspot.com/2013/07/family-racing-weekend.html
Sharing my knowledge of the outdoors, triathlon and life in general. Sunday, July 7, 2013. Kirstin was cool as a cucumber. While Kirstin was out on the bike Grandma arrived with Oscar. We had a talk about the race and discussed the transitions and mount/dismount lines. Kirstin had a blast! I was able to watch her out on the run, but had to miss her finish due to the men getting ready to start. As I lined up, Kirstin came by and gave me a kiss before I was time for me to start and ready set go! Afterwards...

Atlanta Triathlete: Week #8
http://atlantatriathlete.blogspot.com/2012/03/week-8.html
Tuesday, March 6, 2012. This week completely sucked. I got back from Mexico and had a photo shoot on Wednesday. I was already feeling the effects of a head cold and a sore throat. I decided to get rest and not do any workouts. I thought that maybe I'd been doing too much lately and this was my body telling me to slow down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Atlanta Triathlete: December 2011
http://atlantatriathlete.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 13, 2011. End Of The Year. I was honored by the Atlanta Triathlon Club. When they awarded my the "Most Dedicated Member" award this past weekend. I was shocked and left speechless. According to one of the coaches, it was unanimous. Thank you. One of the highlights of the end of the year party is the slideshow. It's a great reminder of not only the accomplishes we've made as individuals, but the memories we've shared that can't be replaced that I will always carry with me. Next year, tra...

Atlanta Triathlete: Week #3
http://atlantatriathlete.blogspot.com/2012/01/week-3.html
Monday, January 23, 2012. Decent workout this week considering that city pools were closed on Monday for MLK day and I was resting up or Saturday's race. I'm glad I managed to get some weights in on Tuesday with a treadmill run and swim. I wanted to swim some more on Wednesday, but the water temp was on the cold side on Tuesday and I heard varying accounts of the heater being broken to being shut down due to the MLK holiday. Rest - Holiday (Pool Closed). Run - 3 miles treadmill. Swim - 1000 meters.

http://motiv-8.blogspot.com/2014/04/hays-in-barn-2014-boston-marathon-pre.html
Thursday, April 17, 2014. Hay's in the Barn - 2014 Boston Marathon pre-race thoughts on training and race day. Where do I begin? To start I read through last year's race report. Here's how my training stacks up to the last few year's worth of training cycles:. So, what are my goals? My race plan hasn't varied too much from last year. This is one of the fastest fields ever assembled so I'll have plenty of people to run with at my pace. I want to run a controlled first half and a consistent first /...SBR S...

I believe the most important single thing, beyond discipline and creativity, is daring to dare. Why Do We Tri? Some of us of us do it because we like the thrill of competition forcing us to push our personal limits, others like the fellowship among team members, and still others of us train and compete in tri events because it keeps us motivated to maintain a fitness regime.
