Occasional posts about my ordinary yet nevertheless auspicious "Alltag" = everyday life. Tuesday, November 26, 2013. So on Friday, November 22 we drove up to Albion to sell our house. Here are a few pictures from the trip. A picture of one of the small towns we drove through. Quite a few of these towns had huge grain silos right in the middle. We had just enough time to split a turkey reuben at Cascarelli's. Wish they would have opened while I still lived there! Bill with D &M. After not too long we were...

Occasional posts about my ordinary yet nevertheless auspicious "Alltag" = everyday life. Wednesday, December 25, 2013. I bought most these ornaments at the Lauscha hut at the Chicago Christmas market. I went there almost every year, when I lived in Michigan, with students from Albion college. It was always a bit of an adventure what with winter weather and often bitter cold temperatures! The " smokers" (Rauchermännchen). For wooden toys and Christmas objects. Had to get this glass slipper ornament!

It’s too heavy and too distracting and not taking it will give me a good excuse to buy pretty German notebooks to write in…. We’re buying a house! In June, where my ...

http://reflectionsonreadingromance.blogspot.com/2012/05/review-of-sandy-jamess-rules-of-game.html
Reflections on Reading Romance. Thursday, May 3, 2012. Review of Sandy James’s Rules of the Game. Title: Rules of the Game. Publication Date: April 2, 2012. Rating: 3 out of 5. Unfortunately about a third of the way into the book the tone of the novel changed abruptly, leaving me a bit confused. Rules of the Game. Was a lot of fun to read. I...
