Mysql/5.0.45 …. August 12, 2009 2:09 pm UTC In Tech. I recently did some performance testing with a few big tables on mysql/5.0.45 under CentOS and noticed a sharp drop in query speed a few minutes after restarting mysql. More tests showed mysql/5.0.51a or newer don’t have this problem. OK, I guess a picture is worth a thousand words… (SELECT queries only, and also mysql buffer size is huge, so disk I/O is minimal during test.). It’s most likely due to mysql bug 21074. December 6, 2009 12:37 pm UTC In Life. 话说上个月初我飞去东部的时候，Virgin American 飞机上有 Wi-Fi，是 Gogo Inflight. 当年看到 dreamhost 一哥门 显摆. 用了一下，速度奇快无比，看 Hulu 480p 完全没有问题，价格也不贵。 结果回程的时候，Google 来插了一腿，推出了 Free in-flight Wi-Fi. 登机口还发免费 T 恤上书 I surfed at 35,000 ft。 虽然服务提供商一点没变，Google 只是付了个账而已，但是在几乎所有的相关宣传和登录页面，都已经看不到 Gogo Inflight 标志了。 同事说，Google 里想出这个主意来的人真是英明神武，大家肯定都在飞机上给亲朋好友发信 IM 打 Skype 说俺在平流层跟你说话呢，而且大家都只会说，Google 太伟大了。 飞机上 Wi-Fi 奇慢无比，同事用 ssh 配交换机，五个小时只配了两个口 嘴。 数据源 车载 GPS 自动 tracklog。

Be simple and happy. I lost my phone on a Lyft ride last Thursday. Got off a ride, went upstairs, checked my watch and noticed it was disconnected from phone, realized phone lost in car, used “Find My iPhone” to locate/beep/lock my phone, filed a Lyft support ticket and they contacted the driver, driver said he didn’t see any phone, end of story. Which means I sit in front of a computer to wait when I’m expecting a call, just like sitting in front of a phone in old days. What I miss most without phone:.
