Muscle soreness …. Muscle soreness …. After about two weeks off I finally returned to the gym yesterday. I stuck with workkout A of the Stronglifts 5×5 program (namely squats, bench and bent over rows.). I kept it light and made sure that I would not scare myself off. Need to master pull ups! Need to master pull ups! I can’t even pull up my own bodyweight ;-/. I started on the second cycle of Wendler 531 today. Overhead press at 30kg, 35kg,40kg and 45kg for 5 sets of 5. I was supposed to just do 30kg, 35kg and do as many at 40kg as I could, but …. I only realised when I was already into my fourth set that I should have did more reps on the last set and ended it there. Shows how easy that part of the exercise was. The challenge came later on. I can’t do pull ups! Again...
