The View from my Treehouse: mmmm...Pie
http://viewtreehouse.blogspot.com/2012/03/mmmmpie.html
The View from my Treehouse. Thursday, March 15, 2012. This post was more fitting yesterday, 3.14, but my kids and schedule didn't allow the time. This love was introduced early by my Grandpa B. He also loved to bake and create his own recipes. He made bread, pie, ice cream (not really baking but very yummy), cookies, and cake. My mom loved her dad's bread so much he taught my dad how to make it. My dad has been baking bread every since. Sadly, we haven't been able to find his whole wheat crust recipe.

The View from my Treehouse: Gluten Free Ravioli Update
http://viewtreehouse.blogspot.com/2012/01/gluten-free-ravioli-update.html
The View from my Treehouse. Monday, January 23, 2012. Gluten Free Ravioli Update. Two weeks ago I had this crazy idea of making gf ravioli from scratch. So as I was checking my Pinterest and thinking about making dinner. One click led to another and there was a recipe for GF Ravioli. I was intrigued, anytime I find a recipe for gf dough I can knead, I want to try it. GF Ravioli. It was so good and would be even better if I had a white sauce or even red to enjoy it with. The View from my Treehouse: October 2011
http://viewtreehouse.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
The View from my Treehouse. Friday, October 21, 2011. Tonight, Tyrone took Charlotte to run errands, so that left me and Samuel to spend time together. First we had to clean the kitchen and pick up toys, then it was time to make cookies. I used this recipe from Betty Crocker, Snickerdoodles. I just modified it with Brown Rice Flour and Xanthan Gum. I think the Xanthan Gum was key, I'd been out for a while and finally had some, what a difference. 1 1/2 Cups Sugar. Creamed and ready for flour. Whenever I t...

The View from my Treehouse. Saturday, February 25, 2012. Even though I start the day by getting up at 3am and heading off to work. Work: I organized the back room shelfs and made room for all the stuff coming on Wednesday. I also helped serve customers with my awesome coworkers. Home: Got home and took a 3 hour nap. Woke up and started my day all over again. After painting he was done and decided to spend time with daddy. Charlotte chose this time to take a nap! I love hanging out in my kitchen. Toda...

The View from my Treehouse. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Getting creative in the Kitchen. I think I might be getting the hang of this mom of two thing. Today went pretty well. I got a nap, a workout and a shower. Crazy but it happened. I even gave Charlotte a bath too. After completing the above it was time for a Green Smoothie. My new favorite green smoothie is Mint Chocolate Green Smoothie. I know weird combo but so good. Mint Chocolate Green Smoothie. Adapted from Chocolate Covered Kate. Two weeks ago...

The View from my Treehouse: April 2011
http://viewtreehouse.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
The View from my Treehouse. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Last night we had our 1st Family Movie Night. Samuel can almost sit still for about 30 minutes at a time, so I figured he was ready. We borrowed Cars from my dad and finally got to watch a Blu-Ray movie in our new Blu-Ray player. Cars seemed like Samuel's speed, he loves Thomas and Friends and cars with faces can't be that much different than trains with faces. Turns out we can for about 30 minutes. Mom started participating more in movie night and it...

The View from my Treehouse: March 2011
http://viewtreehouse.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
The View from my Treehouse. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. I made macaroni and cheese for dinner, again. This time I took my Aunt's advice and tried Velveeta. Did anyone else eat this as a child? Tonight I tried the easy recipe on the Velveeta box. Once I opened up the cheese I thought what am I doing this can't be healthy. Did I mention it looked like glue? So I put half in the oven to see if baking would help. It kinda helped that plus some garlic powder for flavor. It looked better. Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
