The hardest part of any missions trip is always the fundraising. It's hard to ask for support. It is hard to admit that I cannot. Do this on my own. May 28, 2014. Almost two years ago, I wrote this. A post about two brothers that I met in Pallisa, Uganda. Two brothers who I never learned the names of, but whose faces I could not get out of my head. I can't count the number of times I have thought about these boys over the last two years. When I found out I would be returning to Pallisa this trip, I was ecstatic. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I was praying I would see these boys again. Meet Mugulu and his brother, Umali. August 14, 2012. These two faces have been on my mind since we left Pallisa, Uganda, exactly a month ago today. I never learned their names, which breaks my heart, but I know their faces. I know that despite our language barrier, despite ever having a conversation, I will never forget them. Let the little children come to me. I can't forget their faces. I can't get them out of my mind. All I can do is pray for them, remember that He cares for them more than I ever could. My friends, you are not forgotten.
