http://www.myheartisforindia.com/2014/11/orphan-sunday.html
Sunday, November 2, 2014. But He's just one little boy. And there are many, many more that need families. Too many to count. Over one hundred million. Imagine the population of Russia, which stands at roughly 143,000,000 people. There are more orphans world wide than there are people in Russia. Let that sink it. As you can see here -. And now - he's filled with so much joy! O be a part of the solution:. Working in orphan care ministry through mission trips and child/family sponsorship. Religion that God ...

Saturday, June 27, 2015. So after being so mingy. And writing that post about all the people I need. I've made some progress on my list:. Sucked it up, ordered curtains online and two days later, happiness = curtains in my lounge. Yes! I also got a quote from people who fix damp (Mandy, the walls are literally damp.), carpet people and wood people, but still haven't decided on paint. Understandably, the painter is now hounding me but I have decision fatigue from work. Monday, June 22, 2015. So my house s...

1, 2, 3, blog: July book report, and my holiday reads
http://www.the123blog.com/2015/08/july-book-report-and-my-holiday-reads.html
Wednesday, August 05, 2015. July book report, and my holiday reads. Usually I take everything with me on holiday - laptop, Kindle, iPad and iphone. This time I thought there was no point in taking the iPad and my Kindle, and now I know that was a mistake. I don't enjoy the experience of reading on my iPad so I took ages with book 1. I much prefer reading on my old-school Kindle precisely because there is nothing else to do with the Kindle but read. So it is exactly like an old-fashioned paper book. Well,...

http://www.the123blog.com/2015/08/the-big-tree.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. We went for a walk about a month ago and Connor wanted to go down a street they used to walk down before (they used to walk home from school that way last year), so we went. So glad we did because. AMAZING tree, LEAVES, abundance! We took an iphone photo which I loved but everything is better with the Big Camera, right? The kids and I went back two days later to play in the leaves and have a "proper" photo shoot. Don't you want to lie down in the leaves? What worked in 2015?

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. 5 things I want more of now I'm 41 :). I made my lovely things list last night but instead of sharing a more linear format, I thought I'd spice it up. I want more of these things during this next year of my life :). I know I go on a lot of holidays but really, that's the point, isn't it? I'm really happy spending money on holidays :). I don't know what happened but I want it back. Terisha/ Louisa - do you recognise where this one is from? Labels: this is 41. I also want to read ...

Good Golly Ginger: March 2015
http://www.goodgollyginger.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 28, 2015. Gaggle of Geese Finish. In my last post, someone commented that surely this mini quilt was a gaggle of geese. For sure! Pattern from Fat Quarter Shop. My intention was to quilt many spirals on this quilt. They were not going well, and it was frankly too slow to make a spiral. So I stopped that, and I quilted radiating straight lines from the spiral. I'm still not happy with the finished quilting, but it is done. And done is better than nothing. Right? Wednesday, March 25, 2015.

so-cal sewing mom: July 2015

Sunday, July 12, 2015. A Bedford in Double Gauze. I have been sorely neglecting this little blog lately.I have been sewing, but not doing such a great job of documenting. I have lost a bit of my sew-jo - at least for right now. Julia will be going to a public school next year (kindergarten - finally! Anyways, I've been working slowly on a super-cute top for the past couple of weeks. It wasn't difficult; I just get interrupted and side-tracked very easily. The top is the Bedford Top. The Bedford Dress and...

so-cal sewing mom: September 2014
http://socalsewingmom.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 12, 2014. My daughter loves nothing more than a good pink dress. That spins. With no sleeves. So, here you go - a new pattern from Ollie and Annie. You can find the pattern here. This is a size 4 with no modifications. The embroidery, of course, is from Urban Threads. I can't even look anywhere else for embroidery designs. The corduroy is a 21 wale corduroy from Westminster from my shop. A Very Vintage Betty Skirt. I was lucky enough to sew The Betty Skirt. From The Shaffer Sisters.
