New Record thanks to night bird | birdingfromthebalcony
https://birdingfromthebalcony.wordpress.com/2013/12/10/new-record-thanks-to-night-bird
Just another WordPress.com site. Club des Ornithologues de l'Outaouais. New Record thanks to night bird. December 10, 2013. Did the big owl raid the squirrels nest. What a smart bird I thought, though I hoped that it didn’t eat Pretinho, the black Gray squirrel that lives there. We have almost come to think of Pretinho as a pet. With work winding down, and Christmas holidays coming though, I can spend more time watching and listening, and maybe add another species or two. This Sunday is Christmas Bir...
87 species! | birdingfromthebalcony
https://birdingfromthebalcony.wordpress.com/2014/07/27/87-species
Just another WordPress.com site. Birding from the balcony. July 27, 2014. So that puts me at 87 species from our place so far in 2014, two more that the entire 2013 campaign, and 3 more than 2012. I am into new territory and have 5 months to get to my ultimate goal – 100 species in one calendar year from our second floor apartment in Gatineau Quebec! While my World Cup predictions may have been off, I hink that this one is attainable. From → Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Vogelbeobachtung in Franken - Birding Franconia
On this website I want to show you the birdlife of Franconia, the northern part of the german province Bavaria. While its cultural assets attract many tourists year for year, its birding potential is nearly unknown so far. Birding Franconia info@birdingfranconia.de.

It has been chosen as the state bird by the southern Indian state of Pondicherry. Links to this post. The h...

birdingfromthebalcony | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. May 15, 2017. Two days in May bring waves of birds. Saturday (yesterday) was International Migratory Bird Day, and, as Nature Canada was hosting an event at Brewer Park in Ottawa, I was there early putting on a demonstration of bird banding. Pretty much the entire day was spent at this event, so there was no time for birding from the balcony. Sunday (today) was different. Today was a “B” day for me. White-crowned sparrows moved in to the neighbourhood. Today, i had my cam...

Monday, December 26, 2011. Nikon J1: mount with FT1 adapter to Nikon 300mm f4. Few days ago, I got my hands on a unit of Nikon mirrorless camera, J1 and the FT1 adapter. From earlier test by digiscopers in Hongkong and other parts of the world, the V1 is a good and potential camera for digiscoping. Initially I wanted to get the V1 but the ATM machine ran out of cash - darn it! Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Bird Photography: Kitchen Tool. Cheap follow focus DIY. Friday, February 27, 2009.
