Monday, November 20, 2006. The holidays, knitting plans, etc. I am not holiday knitting this year (which I'm sure is really obvious since I haven't mentioned it), the lack of appreciation I got for last years stuff has made me not want to take the time or the effort or spend the money. But the nice thing is it frees up my time to selfishly knit for myself :P. I also would love to copy this minus the hood. And now I must clean because I'm having people over for thanksgiving : . Sunday, January 21, 2007. Finally finished some stuff. Pattern: Nada, got the intarsia out of Style your Own Kid's Knits. Bonus crocheted spider because after I finished the blanket he asked me where the spider to go into the web was. Pair number 2 of fingerless convertible mittens (stash project). Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Trying to make an olympic comeback. Well, I simply couldn't let my disease get me down. I switched to a less complicated pattern that doesn't require being able to see tiny detail work, and am almost done with my first sock! Maybe I can do this after all. They won't be fancy, but I will have said a big FU to my illness. I'm doing most of my knitting at night, when the nausea isn't as bad. I'm really going to try to do this. Wish me luck! The circular needle plan for TFLW fell through. They broke. My birch circular needles broke. Back to the drawing board and dpns. To soothe my fractured nerves I started a small star blanket, it will be doll sized. With my recent luck, it will probably turn out moon shaped and elephant sized, but what the hell.
