If you are friendly and happy, the chances are that people (even strangers) will be friendly and happy back to you. If you treat those around you with respect and listen to their concerns, then generally they will respect you. I remember my first ohanami waaaaaaay back in 2001 was cancelled due to snow. This may be another such year. She elected to ignore my advice.

I like to talk about me. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. I am much better at teaching children than adults. My adult classes tend to be fairly casual affairs, and I don't often do a lot of preparation beforehand. (I've really embraced the "conversation" concept in "conversational English".) Luckily this is pretty much what my adult students are looking for, so I don't really worry about it too much. Tonight's lesson, however, was even more random than usual. Which led to me writing "pesticide" on the board.

Life In A Nutshell. Thursday, 6 August 2015. We have had two days of kind of crazy weather. The days were just fine until the late afternoon and then the lightning, thunder, rain, high winds and hail hit. The brunt of the storm lasted for an hour or two, but by then the hail and wind had done considerable damage. Hail damage to cars of course and quite a lot of property damage.
