Interesting People and Stories. Border To Border By Bike. 2007 Bike Trip Down the Pacific Coast. October 16, 2007. We’ve noticed that many people here in California are really into Halloween; more than we have ever seen. This morning we saw a house that takes our Halloween decorating award, hands down. We found this place on the bike route in San Clemente. I have to believe that this is where Captain Jack Sparrow lives. Arrrr. Take a look! A view of the Port of Los Angeles on a cool and cloudy morning.

Cycling the Boot of Italy. Notes From The Saddle 3. Eating In Southern Italy →. Leaving the Gargano behind. The beach at Vasto. And today was our final day of riding on this trip! We cycled from Ortona to Pescara with virtually no wind and more sun than we have seen in a while. The high today was right around 60; a great temperature for biking. And the last 6 miles was on a beach bike path; a fitting end to an amazing trip! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Cycling the Boot of Italy. Reflections On Our Trip →. Eating In Southern Italy. Eating here is amazing; southern Italy has a 10-11 month growing season, depending upon the crop. We did not eat anything that wasn’t fresh and local. Their idea of fast food is a fresh made focaccia bread sandwich with salami, mozzarella cheese, and arugula, with a Coke. We didn’t order the Coke. But let me start from the beginning. Breakfast. Colazione. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Enter your email a...

Cycling the Boot of Italy. Reflections On Our Trip. Back home again, and we’ve taken a couple of days to reset our internal clocks and reflect on the experience. Interesting People and Stories. Border To Border By Bike. 2007 Bike Trip Down the Pacific Coast. October 28, 2007. We’re home now in Colorado, and trying to sort through the memories.
