I spent a lot of it very sad due to a friend leaving town, a frustrating running injury, a professional upheaval, my dear cat dying and some stuff that I'm not going to post on the internet. My neighbor Katy threw her second-annual white elephant party, and although the weather outside was frightful, we had a great time. It helped that there were lots of neighbors in the building who didn't have to drive in the snow. My building is full of some wonderful people. I ended up with something I actually wanted - a DVD of the movie "Sideways." Thanks to Matt for not stealing it!

First, I went to Breckenridge, Colorado, with two friends from my knitting group. Yes, we did a lot of knitting. But we also rode our bikes, hiked on a mountain, ran into a Bachelor (with a capital B - he was on "The Bachelorette") and saw a real-live bear! Breckenridge photos on Facebook. Then I went to San Francisco for NSPRA. Maui pictures on Facebook.
