The argument goes, the longer you leave to hitch your cart on to a prospective suitor, the more difficult time you'll have of it because you'd be 'far too stuck in your ways to change'. I've heard the line regurgitated time and time again by parents, relatives, smug marrieds, and every Tom, Dick and Inder with an opinion, and the more I hear it, the more ridiculous it sounds. What the hell happened to the time-old adage of getting 'older and wiser'?
