We visited a massia village while on safari and this was actaully my first experience as well with the massias. The cows are their most priced possesions and they live and breath them. Their houses are made from cow dump (shit.ooop! Can see bundle on the ground next to the hut. They only eat cow meat, milk and blood? A view of the entire compound. By the bush lamp. Never saw it...

She came over for the summer holidays and also to do some voluntering work. I must give her the kudos for travelling here by herself at 11 y/o and being miss independent! She's here for 2 months. Riders) guys have a 'pink' uniform to identify them. That is just at the Kenyan/Ugandan border. I'm not sure if they operate in other cities in Uganda but definately. Not Kampala since it too hilly. They have been replaced by the piki. Mini-bus transportation around town) DONOT. The food. Now, this is pure comparison to Kenyan food! I love the House of Worship.
