Before I left, I did take pictures of my Ocean Waves quilt, on which I am slowly and steadily progressing. Naturally, I got s...

Finish It Up Friday – Wordy Cats. This Friday I present “Wordy Cats”. This quilt is based on Elizabeth Hartman’s The Cat Quilt. I changed it up a bit, however. Elizabeth’s pattern calls for creating 4 of each of 25 different cat patterns. I must admit I didn’t have enough patience for that! I selected 10 of the easiest patterns and made 10 of each. I cursed each of those 200 ears and 200 chin pieces, but at last they are done! It is the perfect background fabric. Finish It Up Friday. April 17, 2015.

Kick off your shoes and enjoy some quilting. The Kindness of Strangers. November 11, 2016. November 11, 2016. I found the pattern for this Color Wheel Quilt in. Last-Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts. And then rented time on her computerized machine. I used two patterns for the quilting — bubbles for the black sections and a swirl pattern for the colored panes. I love the way the thread colors blend into the fabric. I really wanted the piecing to be the star of the show. Thanks for stopping by! I need t...

Textile Creations Beautiful and Useful. Tag Archives: Laurena’s Longarm Quilting. Remember that surfing cat fabric. I purchased last winter? Improvisational piecing resulted in a couple of quilt tops with coordinating Cherrywood gradient packs. Despite the fact my to do list is 8 miles long today, I went to Laurena’s. To use the Statler Stitcher. When I got home, I laid it on the floor to really look at the trimmed piece. Immediately, fluffy feline placed her paw of approval. 8220;Why waste the paper?
