Straight From the Lion's Mouth: Clean Up in Aisle Three-Adventures on the Way to the Altar
http://sftlm.blogspot.com/2012/05/clean-up-in-aisle-three-adventures-on.html
Friday, May 4, 2012. Clean Up in Aisle Three-Adventures on the Way to the Altar. Enjoy Guest Blogger: Lori Roeleveld. Once upon a time, I worked as a houseparent in a Christian agency caring for troubled children. There were several houses on the property and each was assigned a different supporting church to attend with our wards. If the gospel is good news, no one had told these brothers and sisters. It was like attending calling hours for Jesus week after week. I leapt from my seat to intervene but fo...

Straight From the Lion's Mouth: My Blue Datsun
http://sftlm.blogspot.com/2012/05/have-you-heard-truestory-where-elderly.html
Friday, May 18, 2012. Have you heard the true story where an elderly woman pulled a gun and screamed at the four men in a car, “I have a gun and I know how to use it.” Of course, the men jumped out of the car and ran. Truly shaken up, the woman put the groceries in the car, got behind the wheel and found her keys didn't work. My story isn’t better, but just as embarrassing. 8220;The kids will never forget this Easter egg hunt,” I gushed at the manager and the teens behind the counter. “Mo...When I pulled...

Straight From the Lion's Mouth: AGE DOESN'T MATTER TO GOD
http://sftlm.blogspot.com/2012/05/age-doesnt-matter-to-god.html
Monday, May 28, 2012. AGE DOESN'T MATTER TO GOD. Friday, May 25th:. Thank you for your prayers. Tonight was our last event of this tour. We were at the Inglesia Methodist Libre in Papalote and God blessed as 74 people prayed and responded to the invitation to receive Jesus Christ into their lives. Of these 37 indicated a first time acceptance of Christ, 28 registered a rededication, and 9 indicated 'other commitment'. Posted by Kat Crawford. Tom and Carla Flaskerud. Cowboy Musing: Distractions
http://cowboymusing.blogspot.com/2015/08/distractions.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. We have coffee each morning out on the front porch. Usually a neighbor or two come join us. We kinda line out our day to get the most out of it. If the wind dictates we often do back deck instead. Usually we watch the sun come up out there. Interesting question and one we talk about a lot. I have responsibilities to the family, to church, to friends and neighbors and along with responsibilities come tasks and demands on my time. My in-box is a distraction and has to be dealt...

Cowboy Musing: July 2014
http://cowboymusing.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Help for a prison ministry. I published a Christian Fiction novel several years ago with David C. Cook entitled “ Mysterious Ways.”. Later I started hearing from people wanting the book because they heard “ it could get someone talking about faith who wouldn’t listen to anyone about it before. I was amazed at these reactions and realized immediately it was not something I had put in the book, I just wrote a little story, it had. The story came to the attention of Life Sentence P...

Cowboy Musing: March 2014
http://cowboymusing.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 27, 2014. One of my clients (I represent the writing of Mary and her mother, not her music) is Mary James whose stage name is "Mean Mary." She is booked into the 806 Coffee House over on Sixth Street here in Amarillo on Saturday night March 29th at 9 pm. Will Saundra and I be there? She can make a banjo stand up and dance and has a beautiful singing voice. She can also play anything else with strings on it, so I don't know what she has planned but it will be good. Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Cowboy Musing: April 2014
http://cowboymusing.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 12, 2014. How do we define success in our writing? How do we know if we have succeeded in our writing goals if we haven't defined what success is to us? When I wrote the novel Mysterious Ways,. God obviously knew where He wanted it to go and He saw to it that it went there. As I said, I have no idea how that was accomplished. It wasn’t a large group, but it was where He intended it to go. What if it is only one? What if that one is us? How do you define success? This book is for the new C...

Tracie's Journal: October 2013

Friday, October 18, 2013. Missoula Festival of the Book. A week ago this time, I was having a great deal of fun with a one-day writer's conference and a weekend book festival in Missoula, MT. As a part of Montana's ACFW group MT Pages, my hubby and I were asked to teach at the one day writer retreat. Jim taught on research since that's his field of knowledge and I spoke on brainstorming before breaking into groups to practice my tips. We had so much fun. We had two tables of books for sale and met a lot ...
