http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-family-member.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. A New Family Member. No, it's not a baby. Just letting some people relax right off the bat.good or bad! Nope, we now have a dog! Well, we *had* a dog - Tobias, aka: Toby, who is my parents dog - but this is another dog. A much larger dog! Meet "Razor", our new doggie! He's a doberman pinscher, about 5 yo, and sweet as a pussy-cat! That officially makes it 9 people and 3 pets in this big ol' house! Apparently, I'm insane. Wellmaybe insane is a little strong. Awwww what a cutie!

Momma's Hands: Life beyond Facebook
http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2014/10/life-beyond-facebook.html
Tuesday, October 14, 2014. I just went on a Facebook break. I have been on Facebook, pretty consistently, since about - oh, I don't know, 2007 or 2008. So.that's a long time without a break! I want to focus more on my family, my kiddos, their schooling, their behavior, my marriage, cleaning the house (well, I don't *want* to do that, but I probably should), and doing more of the "extra" fun stuff (sewing, crocheting, crafts with the kids, more experiments). Yes, I spend too much time on Facebook. There's...

Momma's Hands: QuiverFul Friday
http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2008/02/quiverful-friday.html
Friday, February 1, 2008. The term "quiverful" is fairly new to me. I first heard it, oh, maybe 4 years ago. I specifically remember my dh saying "oh, those quiverful-freaks". So if your first impression upon reading the title of this post was, um, less than enthusiastic that's okay. I don't blame you. Yes, my 2yo does chores. Anyway.QuiverFul Fridays will be about some of the more practical aspects of having a larger family (if you consider 6 a large family - we don't, but by American-standards and ...

Momma's Hands: Fall Traditions ~ The Apples
http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2014/10/fall-traditions-apples.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Fall Traditions The Apples. A bushel of goodness! Gideon had so much fun especially being lifted up to pick his own apples! Our local orchard has these great, old, metal wagons to pull apples ( and children. The crop of apples wasn't great this year all were considered "seconds" yet we thought they were still quite yummy! No one seemed to mind, especially at $8/bushel! Nothing better than your child so very happy! Unless it's your father laughing hysterically. Luv this lil' boy!

http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2014/09/baking-bread-3-lessons-in-1.html
Friday, September 5, 2014. Baking Bread 3 lessons in 1. There are so many reasons why I love to bake bread: it's healthier than store-bought (although we eat our fair share of that too, don't worry), it helps fill up those incessantly hungry lil' monsters. That crowd around you at all hours of the day, crying " We're STARVING! It just tastes *so good*! So around here, I have three bread staples: Amazing White Bread, Honey Whole Wheat Bread, and Challah Bread. Add to bread machine in given order). When th...

Momma's Hands: Crumpled Foil
http://michiganmomma.blogspot.com/2008/03/crumpled-foil.html
Tuesday, March 11, 2008. My husband walked in while I was baking up a quick Wednesday evening meal (before church). He kinda cocked his head and asked "What are ya doin'? See, I had read somewhere that in order to evenly bake things like french fries, chicken nuggets, meatballs, etc. a good idea is to line your basic cookie sheet with crumpled up aluminum foil. I'd never heard of that. So that's my tip for Kitchen Tip Tuesday - hosted over at Tammy's Recipes. March 11, 2008 at 3:19 AM. Thanks for the tip!
