Mad Quilters Tea Party: October 2008
http://madquiltersteaparty.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 12 October 2008. Bugs, Bids and a Wombat. What a lovely spring day for our annual country school auction and some time spent at my childhood home. Out in the garden masses of ladybirds were brunching on the aphids, so many I filled the card in my camera in no time. They're just so cute! Oh well, no pic's from the auction. I'm quite impressed by my degree of restraint given that I managed to come away empty handed. I cheated though, if you take no money, you can't spend it! And then, another very ...

Friday, 1 February 2008. As you can see hubby was extremely pleased and grateful for it's return. The timber's been sanded and oiled, the gas hoses replaced and everything painted and rust proofed. To complete this little job and to protect my hard work I even bought it a rain coat. Here's to many more good aussie BBQ's in the future! Hmmm finish painting the tin fence should be on Februarys list! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. View my complete profile. Candleberry Country, Y...

Mad Quilters Tea Party: Sunshine and Snow
http://madquiltersteaparty.blogspot.com/2008/09/sunshine-and-snow.html
Monday, 8 September 2008. Come hell and high fever, finally after months of waiting our postponed trip to Mt Hotham was here. I didn't count how many times we heard 'are we there yet? From the back seat, but each time we did. I knew we were just that bit closer to a few days of paradise. Let's back peddle about 24 hours. Within minutes, all options for a shower were abandoned for a panicked attempt to make a spare bed. with very little linen (as this was packed into storage earlier this month prior t...

http://madquiltersteaparty.blogspot.com/2011/12/antique-french-chair-more-info-please.html
Thursday, 22 December 2011. Antique French Chair - more info please. I hope that by posting this picture on the web I may have more chance of finding out more info about the pictured chair. I've owned it for near on 20 years and have never been able to find another like it. Perhaps someone out there who is into French antique funiture, ornate carved chair legs or embossed leather chairs can shed some light. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, 4 November 2007. Purple Donkey Orchids that is! Or Duiris punctata. This beautiful Diuris occurs along the roadsides of the Longford-Rosedale Road, Longford, Victoria. I've been hunting this little beauty for a few weeks now, waiting for them to burst into bloom. And bloom it has this season! In some locations their sweet purple haze can be viewed as far as the eye can see. And Chocolate scented Lily's. I've been snapping shots of many other. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
