Directions to Cantsfield House. This is how to find us. There is a map at the bottom of this page to help you orientate yourself. We are about 11 miles from Lancaster which is on the West Coast Main Line (three hours from Euston if Virgin are doing their stuff) with lots of taxis. There are several trains each day from Lancaster to Leeds which stop at Wennington station which is two miles away (no taxis! By road from the north. By road from the south. By road from the east.

Here is a brief history of the house. With thanks and acknowledgement to Emmeline Garnett. Cantsfield House is almost certainly on a very old site, although we cannot track its history back further than the middle of the sixteenth century. By 1686 Francis Carrington's family had dwindled to three daughters. Jennet, as the eldest, was her father's heir to the Cantsfield property, which now became a Tatham property as she had married into that family. 設計。生活。夢想。 過去一年說充實也充實，說沒什麼也沒什麼，看了越多事物越覺得自己欠缺越多東西，只能且戰且走，在實務中慢慢去充實自己了。 風格真的是很奇妙的東西，有時客戶的點總是很難去抓，只能壓低自己姿態，去仔細傾聽對方，設法了解、解釋、溝通，抱著自己比較專業的心態是沒有辦法得到對方認同的。 這一個案子的客戶是很講究的人，他要的不太像是一般制式的東西，具體來說希望有斜屋頂加瓦片，但又不想太日式風格，希望有一些凹凸造型，類似現代建築的設計方式。 本來的設計是正面為主，其他面比較素淨，但客戶覺得這樣不夠豐富，我的立場是太複雜會顯得凌亂，在多次溝通檢討後，終於生出了這個折衷的方案：. 看起來還算過得去，不過接下來要處理的事還有好多，只能一步一腳印慢慢去進行了…. 這是一個自地自建的案子，業主喜歡歐式的風格，所以建築物外觀以古典的比例分割，加上一些圖騰去做點綴，更避免過於雜亂的裝飾，呈現一種典雅的感覺。 從側面去看建築的進退面變化與立體感，因為設計初期階段，側立面尚未完整發展。 業主後來沒有繼續找我們規劃，不過對我來說，倒是一個滿不錯的練習。 Art Deco 雖然是現代裝飾藝術上的一種運動，但同...
