The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: No Half-Time Measures
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2007/04/no-half-time-measures.html
Tuesday, April 17, 2007. When it comes to half time entertainment the New South Wales Rugby Union continually surprises. Who will ever forget the glory days of the Pal Happy Dogs? Or the men in Sumo Wrestling suits running for cash, bouncing across the tryline much like Matt Dunning would if he ever reached the tryline. As an aside, Russel Fairfax kicked the winning field goal and Brett Papworth – both former Union players - went off injured). What’s your favourite half-time moment? Hygiene or High Farce?

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: 20 Favourite Songs
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/20-favourite-songs.html
Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Who am I kidding? If tone deafness was an art then I'd be Picasso - a bit messy and a bit all over the place but I know what I like and in 50 years people may begin to appreciate my brilliance. This blog article (is there a jargon word for that? Power and the Passion - Midnight Oil. London Calling - The Clash. Highway to Hell - AC/DC. End Of The World As We Know It - REM (and a song I'd like played at my cremation). Breakaway - Big Pig (my first gig, my first album). Secondl...

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: i-Don't Care
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-dont-care.html
Friday, May 08, 2009. There is no real difference between an Apple Macintosh and a Microsoft PC. There, I’ve said it. May the cool young t-shirt clad things of the Mac world throw their twittering i-phones at me in disgust. I don’t care. May the tweed wearing, goggle-eyed PC aficionados threaten me with their Bill Gates dolls. I still don’t care. PCs have black or cream functional cubic shaped boxes. Macs have rounded corners and are any colour or even transparent. Woohoo. I’m not designing space s...

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: Hawaii Part 1 - What Not to do in Oahu
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/hawaii-part-1-what-not-to-do-in-oahu.html
Friday, October 08, 2010. Hawaii Part 1 - What Not to do in Oahu. As travel destinations, the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Hawai’i (also known as the Big Island) offer unique delights and an interesting use of apostrophes, but the experience of travelling with two small kids is as about as rewarding as being caught in a lava flow. So of course Dad (yours truly) ate three servings of pasta for dinner that night while the kids ate bread, butter, ice cream and chocolate and not necessarily in that order.

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: Advanced Bachelor Food Part 1 - Chilli
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2006/10/advanced-bachelor-food-part-1-chilli.html
Friday, October 27, 2006. Advanced Bachelor Food Part 1 - Chilli. But there is still the spirit of the bachelor (or the backpacker for that matter) in my cooking - use a minimum of utensils, avoid recipes and go with your gut instinct. What 's changed since those carefree days? Time and quality. The longer a sauce bubbles, the better it is. And buy the most expensive ingredients you can find. So here we go - my contribution to the culinary world - my recipe (or lack thereof) for Chilli. A bottle of wine.

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: Male Pattern Boldness
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/male-pattern-boldness.html
Sunday, March 04, 2007. My local barber is on holidays. I know. I was devastated and my hair was starting to take on that Western Cape Buffalo look, parting down the middle of its own accord, curling up at the back, a proto mullet. Just a little off the sides thanks. To flick through while you wait. Adolescence over I paid my $1 and mumbled some thanks. But for what? For discovering that for the rest of my life I'd be engaged in a never ending battle to not look like Cousin Itt. Like many barber shops, t...

The Crunchy Peanut-Blog: Hygiene or High Farce?
http://crunchypeanutblog.blogspot.com/2006/12/hygiene-or-high-farce.html
Thursday, December 21, 2006. Hygiene or High Farce? My ‘grooming pack’ is not a sport pack or a wet pack and is not ‘essential’. It consists of a bag containing the aforementioned toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver, a brush for my hair, and deodorant. The deodorant is not named after a continent, an animal, or a feeling. It is not extreme or sport or sensitive or ice cool or essential or a force of nature or a body spray. It just smells better than I do and stops me ponging in public. That's all very well...

Welcome Aboard The Cutlass
Welcome Aboard The Cutlass. A look into the craziness that goes on inside my mind. Friday, November 15, 2013. And Time Keeps Moving. I've been avoiding posting an update to my blog, in hopes that better days would soon arrive and I'd have only great things to say. I've realized, however, that things aren't actually as bad as my mind makes them out to be. I mean sure, I'm not at the highest point in my life right now, but everything that I'm unhappy about can be changed, and will be changed. I'll post mor...
