Interior Architecture

Friday, November 13, 2009. I created this piece as an illustration for my concept of a volcano. I wanted to show the lava in an abstract and colorful way. Friday, October 30, 2009. We had to draw a camera and then photoshop it. I decided to do a Polaroid camera and then make the developing picture a photo of me taken last year. I learned a lot about photoshop and how to transform a drawing. Thursday, October 29, 2009. So You Think You Can't Draw? Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Thursday, September 24, 2009.

Interior Architecture: March 2009

http://caraleighsiar.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 27, 2009. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. They even invented a term to describe their decisive break with the Gothic past, saying their work marked a renaissance, or rebirth (Roth 397). Character is what sets a piece of architecture from another. It is the identity of a piece of architecture that gives it personality. Renaissance architects and designers looked to make their designs different and monumental from all other designs. Annibale’s representations were vital, animated...The transition ...

Interior Architecture: October 2008

Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. How is dialog created? Business/closed conversation with "L" shaped pieces. Used the idea of 2, two skewers on each other, two bristol boards on each side. How is a sense of space/place defined? Uses openness/closeness to create space. Uses cards rather than skewers to define space. How is the idea of system generated? Uses curves/straight edges to create system. Flows creating somewhat of a system with movement.

pathways, edges, boundaries: November 2008

http://finalprojectphase1.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2008. Desert:Interactive-Progressive-Gateway: One of our test models. This is the desert groups test model. We mixed plaster and concrete and used pea pebbles as an aggregate. However, there was a flaw with using the cardboard box. It was not quite strong enough to support the strength and bond of the concrete and it let the concrete seep into the edges enough.that it did not quite create the edges that we had hoped for. Pictured above are Chey and Kristina sanding down the final, dr...

Sunday, November 2, 2008. Keep things in perspective. This page illustrates how to progress through a one point perspective drawing. First start with two dimensional shapes, then project lines to the vanishing point to create the sense of depth. This page explains much of the same thing as the one above it, however it is in two point perspective. Go to the gallery and check out the environments. They are an awesome example of what can be done with these simple tools. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This site...

Wednesday, October 22, 2008. 101 Things I learned in Architecture. Improved design process, not a perfectly realized building, is the most valuable thing you gain from one design studio and take with you to the next. Because a project doesn't deserve a good grade if the process that led to it was sloppy, ill-structured, or the result of hit-and-miss good luck. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Monday, December 1, 2008. The very first picture is a collaboration of point words that our group came up with, so that we could use them to channel into our concepts. Some of the point words are no longer relevant to what we are doing currently. However, all of the words are apart of our thought process as a group and got us to the point we are at now. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Here are just a few more references to inspire you as you begin to render your perspectives. The following images are from the book Color Drawing. By Michael E. Doyle. In this image they are using a paint brush to make white highlights, a paint pen would do this as well. Shading a shadows are what give your rendering depth, use your grays as well as graphite. These are showing how to do your renderings in steps and use a gradient to create reflective surfaces. 8226; marker pape...

It seems most efficient that one elected member from each group [northside, midtown, southside] submit all documentation and findings for the blog [Phase one] directly in the digital drop box under the folder entitled "Phase 1 documentation" under "iar 101 PEB". This information will be taken and compiled and posted to the blog. Ask around studio if you do not know how to access the drop box. Your efforts have been successful thus far, keep up the good work! Beat me so I’ll be good…. April 21, 2010. You’re at work,. Then he orders you to address your coworkers and tell them you were not working when you should have been. He might tell you you are forbidden to go eat lunch. Bizarre, isn’t it? But permitting corporal punishment in school is no different. Twenty states still consider physical punishment by teachers and administrators to be a legal form of discipline.
