Additional Equipment and Services - 24/7 Assist Card. Due to fear of fraud and theft, many people no longer carry personal details with them in their purse or wallet. Many others may, due to speech impairment or a medical condition, find it difficult to communicate especially if stressed by an emergency situation. This could be an accident or unscheduled hospital admission. Cost to have Carelink installed.

How does a lifeline work. The alarm activation will use your telephone line to connect to the Carelink Control Centre and when one of our operators accepts your call a two way speech link will open. The operator will know who you are, where you live and any information you have given us regarding your health or daily life. We will also have a record of your GP and any contacts/key holder’s, these might be family, friends or neighbours who we can call to assist you. What if I press my button by accident?

How does a lifeline work. What do I need to enable the equipment to be fitted in my home? You will need a telephone line with both incoming and outgoing calls and an electrical socket near the telephone point. These should ideally be on the same wall to avoid the danger of trailing cables however telephone extension leads or electrical ‘gang’ sockets may be used if needed, to allow the installation to be carried out. I have not got a telephone line fitted in my property. Set up fee 20 Monthly monitoring 8.

How does a lifeline work. How does a Lifeline work? Your lifeline alarm equipment consists of a base unit which connects to your telephone line and can be activated by a simple press of either the portable pendant, which you may be wearing around your neck or on your wrist , you can also activate the alarm by pressing the integral button on the lifeline base unit. Your portable button will activate the base unit from anywhere in your house and within a small radius outside [normal sized garden].
