Serendipity: Quilt Gallery

This was to be my year of accomplishment and although I didn't finish everything, I am amazed at all I did. I have a tendency to start too many projects.imagine that! I do so have some additions to the quilt gallery. I hope to have more soon. I will add photographs of the quilts I have made. This will take some time so I will consider this page under construction for a while. The quilt above was a fun projects. The colors pick up the fabric colors in a sofa that I bought when I was moving to Sarasota.

Saturday, January 17, 2015. Do you see that chaise in the corner? I actually sat down in it for a few moments the other day. I am looking forward to some quiet time there. Maybe it will be next week? We finally cooked and actually ate at the dining room table. It has been chilly here so I will cook a pot roast for Sunday dinner. Notice that the fish tank is in place and looking good. The studio looks a little better than this picture. Hopefully by tomorrow night it will be almost done. Date and Nut Bread.

Sunday, April 19, 2015. Daffodils in the market are cheerful and comforting. I miss the spring flowers from New England. Needlepoint is my current obsession and I am determined to finish this Paris street scene by Sally Corey. Trying to work 2-3 hours a day. I am about half way now. Is a slice of a baguette spread with goat cheese and topped with tomato and a poached egg. Wonderful and healthy. This came from Bobby Flay. I reduce the amount of goat cheese and use the whole grain baguette from Trader Joe's.

Valentines Day, and love was all around us as my daughter and new son-in-law were married by a lake, near a beach, surrounded by family and friends from near and far. We kept finding 'love' everywhere we went! Followed by the best party/family reunion ever, it was a magical evening, followed the next day by ten-pin bowling, BBQ, swimming, beach cricket, touch footy - even a pod of dolphins came by to watch the cricket. 4 March 2014 at 1:38 am.

Sunday, 2 February 2014. January in the Southern hemisphere is pretty special: sun, sand, eating outdoors, long sunny days, swimming, reading, lazing. I did all that, being on holiday as well, and even did some school programming and reflecting (the most important part of teaching, in my opinion). Inside Llewellyn Davis' and ginger cats.
