Musings of A Wandering Mind: waiting
http://catharticspot.blogspot.com/2009/09/waiting.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. I'm early for once, well actually instead of going home I decided to come straight to dinner spot. I can smell the pizza from the street. This is my life, sometimes I want to shake myself, is it real. How did I get so lucky. I'm watching a little girl have a meltdown. All too often in my head I'm throwing the tantrum. On a side note, how cute they speak French! Take more risks. Explore. Embrace. Live by my advice. Oh and continue to find myself. Posted by Lorraine G.
Musings of A Wandering Mind: Worlds Collide

Friday, December 18, 2009. Finally I ask familiar looking girl, did you go to college around here. Yes, she replies. UPS? Yup We graduated the same year. We had Women and Global Inequality together my junior year. My favorite class in college with my favorite professor. Yes, that's why she looks familiar. I'm thankful for my roots growing. They support me. Some older, stronger. Others still young, fresh, but equally important. Posted by Lorraine G. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Musings of A Wandering Mind: Friendship
http://catharticspot.blogspot.com/2009/09/friendship.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Bright and early a text appeared on my phone, from D saying guess who just landed on US soil, I jumped for joy, she's back. A month ago she left for an epic trip to Australia. Hearing her voice on the phone was so familiar, I could talk to her for hours, just like that, no time had passed yet so much had happened in our lives. Thankful for the old and new. And yes, sometimes a bit of distance reminds us how much we do care. Posted by Lorraine G. September 29, 2009 at 10:55 PM.

Silver Lining in Seattle: "Dream On"
http://silverliningseattle.blogspot.com/2009/01/dream-on.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. A couple of nights ago I had another dream about Moh. It's only the second dream that I have had about talking to him, at least that I remember. I didn't wake up with the feeling of his arms around me or his kisses lingering on my lips like my last dream about him, but I heard his laugh. It warmed my heart. I know he wants me to stop worrying about him. I'm working on it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Silver Lining in Seattle. View my complete profile. Try Not to Breathe.

Silver Lining in Seattle: September 2008
http://silverliningseattle.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows. Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play. The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you. The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.". I know Moh would be mad at me for this. I know he wants me to go on with my life. I'm trying, but there is just so much pain I don't know how to deal with. The Heart May Freeze. Or It Can Burn. The Pain Will Ease. If I Can Learn.

http://silverliningseattle.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Why Don't You Get a Job! I'm going back to the career plan I had right out of college, a career in public relations. I have been speaking with a friend of my brother-in-law who works in public relations in San Francisco, and he recommended I have a short "oral presentation" of my past experience and why PR that I can deliver at interviews. So, why PR? My skills have always been strong in reading, writing and speaking. Since then, technology has been a passion of mine and I'm al...

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Photo from National Geographic. I had an opportunity to attend a World Affairs Council. Viewing of Rick Steves' Iran: Yesterday and Today. Tonight and I found it fascinating. The program itself was fascinating. The architecture, art and culture of Iran was so interesting and beautiful! And, as Moh's mother had said, everyone in Iran was so kind and friendly! During a traffic jam, a stranger gave Rick Steves a bouquet of flowers and apologized for the traffic! A couple of night...

Silver Lining in Seattle: "The Trapeze Swinger"
http://silverliningseattle.blogspot.com/2009/01/trapeze-swinger.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. Getting to the cabin was another adventure as two cars, including my rental, got stuck in the snow/ice. I’m a bit nervous driving in ice these days after my car slid into a truck on I-5, so I left it to the guys to get me out of there. (Thanks Steve! It was exactly what I needed, a group of people that loved Moh remembering and celebrating his life. We continued the celebration at a strip club in Reno. I’m sure Moh loved this part most of all! I know I’m not alone. Moh...January...

Sunday, August 31, 2008. I Had A Dream". I Had A Dream- Joss. Had a dream last night. What a lovely dream it was. I dreamed we all were alright. Happy in a land of oz. What a lovely dream it was". Last night I had a dream that was upsetting, comforting, scary and sweet and tender. I was going through a drive thru. Next thing I knew I was in a large warehouse. Or something with a bunch of other Americans. The terrorists seemed to be on the other side of the warehouse. Were with us. I went over to Moh.

Cathartic Rants
Commentary on poor or non-existant media coverage of economics, politics, and anything that I generally find interesting and enraging; mainly for the purpose of venting my indescribable rage on stupidity, but possibly also to inform others. Enjoy! Thursday, July 1, 2010. A more apt title might have been "Why the Canadian Housing Market Hasn't Crashed YET", or "How the hell are Canadian homebuyers THAT stupid? Fundamental differences in Canadian banking, borrowing and home buying. We have been slowly mari...
Mutterings of a Mad Race
Mutterings of a Mad Race. Our cathartic rants; to hell with your well informed opinions. Tuesday, May 02, 2017. Heard an interesting episode of This American Life recently called "The Other Mr. President" (#614) which explored how Vladimir Putin came into power and how he manages to stay there. Act 1 is chilling, and Act 3 will sound familiar to last year's election and the current "alternative fact" environment in our country. Here's the link:. The Other Mr. President.
