"Oh...my bag!"
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2011/06/im-preparing-for-long-weekend-off.html
I'm preparing for a long weekend off. Bags need to be packed. Which inspired me to this small gift bag. And when I say small, I really mean small. Two handmade truffles would fit. Or a pair of earrings. Nothing bigger. I couldn't stop with the simple, relaxing stitching, so I made a couple more. Redid the brooch on the green one too, because it turned out a bit too wonky first time round. It looks better now - No time for a new picture though. My real bags still need to be packed. They look so sweet!

"Oh...my bag!": Grass green
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2012/02/grass-green.html
The best time for a grass-green wardrobe with flowers is when you're 7 years old, and it's in the middle of a cold, cold winter. Make over: Old spruce Ikea wardrobe (don't ask me which model! White primer, green paint, twist drill (I mean these funny hand-operated pins that one can drill easily through soft wood like spruce) and sewing needle wool. Flower pattern and wool colours can be adapted as new inspiration strikes. Eingestellt von mooi hoor. 7 February 2012 at 18:10. Mach echt was her! I had such ...

"Oh...my bag!": Profile
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/p/profile.html
Hello, my name is Diana. I'm Dutch but live with my husband and two girls in beautiful Bavaria, Germany. I chose the name of my blog on a whim, after I got inspired to start one myself on a late evening in March, back in 2007. So, please don't hold it against me. I do like bags though. So that fits. And I also forget them sometimes. On park benches, in shopping carts and at the handles of my bike. Always good for a scare. I told you, I picked the name (very) late one evening. You can also find me here:.

"Oh...my bag!": Chain reaction
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2012/07/chain-reaction.html
Finally I hung the Suzani I bought two years ago in Amsterdam (in this shop. It has a wonderful, classic palm pattern in light colours. (The picture below doesn't do it justice, as it was taken on a late winter afternoon.) This hand embroidery never ceases to amaze me: The wall hanging has more than 2.00 x 1.80 metres! Imagine the hours of work that went into that. Once a piece like that is up, you always need new pillow covers. It's a rule. Eingestellt von mooi hoor. 15 July 2012 at 18:22. The best time...

"Oh...my bag!": 50-ies love
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2009/06/50-ies-love.html
It's all about potential, right? And a bit of luck. So when I saw this one standing outside in the rain, I didn't wait, but snapped it up immediately. Lovely brownish. A couple of holes. PVC covering. Bit of sand. Nothing that couldn't be fixed. I chartered my husband to drag the piece home with me (luckily enough just around the corner). Discovered the inside is actually from cedarwood (ideal for clothing/linen storage! And happily started working on it. Et voila - a couple of weeks later:. Would love t...

"Oh...my bag!": The making of...
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2011/02/making-of.html
I had such fun with this. I also realized (again) about my dreadful written German, the woes of Microsoft Publisher, and what a lovely, diligent but also easy-going person Nic from Luzia Pimpinella. Of course I already knew that, like I knew about all the pretty stuff Nic designs too, and her photography, which betrays the same eye for detail and colour. That's actually why I asked her a few months ago if she'd be interested in making a designer portrait with me for my Caught Crafting. I had such fun wit...

"Oh...my bag!": Application form
http://ohmybag.blogspot.com/2010/02/application-form.html
Often, that what I expect to be the tricky bit about a crafting project, turns out not to be so tricky at all. Application for instance. I always dreaded the fraying of fabric, an intended circular form that would turn out octagonal-ish. The skill needed to get more or less even stitches. The somewhat smuddly result after hours of sweating over a piece of fabric - doing and redoing bits. Proportions, sizes, placement. I'm learning. And right now, I happen to like big flowers.
