Just another WordPress.com site. November 15, 2010. My friends and I were looking for a low-key dinner before heading to the Art Institute’s After Dark party Friday night and we ended up at Naniwa. An old-school looking japanese spot in river north, Naniwa is the sister restaurant of Bob San’s in Wicker Park. Both places share the same menu, but the atmosphere is significantly less trendy at Naniwa (although the outdoor patio is nice during the summer). I love pork belly. This entry was posted in Sushi.

I am now adding Sable to my “must try” list…thanks Kellie. I’ll also add that Publican is a great brunch spot….less focused on the meat and more traditional. They only do Sundays (i believe). I was told where to be and simply showed up…sometimes that works out, sometimes it doesn’t. Scoozi is a factory and I was just one of many being ushered in and out of the obscenely large dining room. Just another WordPress.com site. Schoop’s Hamburgers →. January 7, 2011. Before you hit up another 3 star, 2 star or 1 star restaurant, you need to try Han 202. I sent a friend there last night and he LOVED it. He’s a huge foodie and a member of the IL food and wine society. Unfortunately, he said it was only about half full, which I think is a travesty. It received bib gourmand. Recognition from Michelin late last year and it is truly a hidden gem. Han 202 offers a 5 course prix fixe. I love pork belly.
