Chi-Sox Blog: Kenny Williams: A Beane or a Krause? -- Part 2
http://chisoxblog.blogspot.com/2007/01/kenny-williams-beane-or-krause-part-2.html
Monday, January 08, 2007. Kenny Williams: A Beane or a Krause? I scrounged up most of the trades that the Sox have made during the Kenny Williams era, just to see whether they can afford us any insight into his more recent trades. I also went ahead, and grouped them into categories; feel free to tell me where you think I went wrong with the categories. 7/31/2004 Acquired RHP Jose Contreras and cash considerations from the New York Yankees for RHP Esteban Loaiza. 7/29/2003 Obtained LHP Scott Schoeneweis a...
Chi-Sox Blog: A White Elephant Gift or Not?
http://chisoxblog.blogspot.com/2006/12/white-elephant-gift-or-not.html
Sunday, December 24, 2006. A White Elephant Gift or Not? As I'm sure everyone has heard, the White Sox traded Brandon McCarthy and Rookie baller David Paisano to the Rangers for lefty John Danks and righties Nick Masset and Jacob Rasner. Here's some background on the main players involved, before we take a look at the deal from the Sox side. A positive look at it. Kenny = Jerry Krause. A fool for young talent. What's the point in building so much for the future, when a championship is within reach. Not o...
Chi-Sox Blog: March 2006
http://chisoxblog.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. Mixed Results from Bullpen. I don't know if I should say it, but it seems that Don Cooper has actually tapped into that "limitless" potential of Matt Thornton. He had another superb outing yesterday. He pitched two scoreless innings with three K's, while surrendering only one hit, against the Rockies. All I can say is WOW! Bobby Jenks on the other hand. Not nearly as pretty. He gave up a run and blew the save in the ninth. Posted by Jeeves at 8:36 PM. Links to this post. He is by ...
Chi-Sox Blog: Pass the Ci(n)tron
http://chisoxblog.blogspot.com/2006/12/pass-cintron.html
Thursday, December 28, 2006. We've re-upped with Alex Cintron. It's a pretty good deal for the Sox; they signed him to a 1-year $1.9 million contract. He's a useful back-up considering the number of positions he can play, and he can hold his own at the plate. I'm still working on the Kenny piece as we speak, so check out Jim's ranking. Of the top-40 individual season's in White Sox history; it'll help put JD's great season into perspective. Posted by Jeeves at 1:55 PM. Links to this post:. Jim Thome - 14.

http://chisoxblog.blogspot.com/2007/01/housekeeping.html
Monday, January 08, 2007. Sorry for the hiatus, I realize these are my first three posts of the New Year. I didn't mean to go so long between posts, but Winter Break sort of disrupted my blogging pattern (namely writing when I should be doing homework). Rest assured, I'll be back in full force by the weekend. I can't make promises with regards to this week, but odds are I'll be posting prety regularly again. Also, welcome to D.T. Kelly, the newest writer at CSB! A Belated Happy New Year to you all! KW Gi...

ChiSox Daily: Crede to DL
http://chisoxdaily.blogspot.com/2008/07/crede-to-dl.html
Notes about the White Sox and Chicago sports. Friday, July 25, 2008. Josh Fields get called up to replace Crede and gets the start at third tonight. The good news is probably can't do much worse than Crede when it ocmes to fielding percentage. The bad news is that he can't make many of the plays Crede makes look routine. Let's just hope he hits. Get your kicks with Chicago White Sox tickets. Coast to Coast Tickets carries a great selection of Boston Red Sox tickets. New York Yankees tickets.

Johnny Mostil's Razor: December 2007
http://johnnymostilsrazor.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
The simplest explanation is usually the best. Even when discussing the Chicago White Sox. Thursday, December 27, 2007. Rocking Horse People Eat Marshmallow Pies. The Astros signed Darin Erstad to a $1M contract. As a lefthanded bat off the bench. The Transaction Oracle is too kind. Sunday, December 23, 2007. Oh, Havana, I've been searching for you everywhere. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. We Never Really Knew Each Other Anyway. From analysts. Considering that his projected ZIPs numbers aren't really ...
ChiSox Daily: January 2009
http://chisoxdaily.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Notes about the White Sox and Chicago sports. Monday, January 19, 2009. White Sox's Bobby Jenks Gets Paid. White Sox's Bobby Jenks. Gets big raise but is still a bargain - chicagotribune. Congrats to Bobby Jenks. On his big payday. The Sox. Agreed to $5.4 million for one year in Jenks. First year of arbitration. He has come a long way from that log cabin in Idaho. Bobby has quickly become one of my all time favorite White Sox. Put on the mound. Were smart not to lock him up for a longer term, as Jenks.

Johnny Mostil's Razor: We Never Really Knew Each Other Anyway
http://johnnymostilsrazor.blogspot.com/2007/12/we-never-really-knew-each-other-anyway.html
The simplest explanation is usually the best. Even when discussing the Chicago White Sox. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. We Never Really Knew Each Other Anyway. Call it sour grapes if you want, but I'm kind of relieved the White Sox failed to land Torii Hunter, Aaron Rowand, Miguel Cabrera, and to a lesser extent, Kosuke Fukudome. Hunter and Rowand don't project to be worth the money they're being paid. Rowand in particular raised polite oh-dear-god remarks. Fukudome is a tougher call, but we don't actual...
ChiSox Daily: November 2007
http://chisoxdaily.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Notes about the White Sox and Chicago sports. Thursday, November 29, 2007. Wake Me When It's 2009. No, I'm not talking about the White Sox. Their future is probably a bit bleaker. I'm talking about the Fighting Illini. Basketball team. Is it too late to take back. All the nice things. I said a couple of weeks ago? Projections were based on three premises:. A) Shaun Pruitt learned how to pass out of a double team instead of forcing bad shots. Would be more assertive. One factor is that Weber has players w...

Ron Karkovice Fan Club: November 2006. Ron Karkovice Fan Club. This blog is in no way actually affiliated with Ron Karkovice or his fan club, if one does exist (one should; he was awesome). This blog is my musings on Chicago sports - in other words the Bulls, Bears and White Sox - and whatever else catches my eye. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Angels in Our Outfield? There has been much hand wringing and kvetching on Chicago sports radio about Ken Williams' rumored intent to trade Joe Crede. Expectations ...

White Sox Analysis
Sunday, May 28, 2006. Posted by Jeremy @ 7:39 PM. Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Immediately after the trade was announce, I read the amount of money sent from the D-Backs to the Sox in the trade rumored at $3 million (by the AP), $5 million (by the Chicago Tribune), and $8 million (by USA Today). Well the deal finally became official. When the Yankees shipped Vazquez to Arizona, they sent $9 million dollars in the trade. Here are the numbers for Brian Anderson, Jerry Owens, and Chris Young for 2005. ...

The Wizard of Ozzie
The Wizard of Ozzie. Musings of a teenage White Sox fan. And This Is Where It Ends. I always felt bad about not “officially” ending this blog. I sort of left it out to dry, with no conclusion, no farewell. My last post wasn’t even about a current White Sock, for crying out loud. But, I couldn’t think of any way to end it that would be fitting? I didn’t want my last post to be an angry rant. The hiring of Robin Ventura? Now, I know how to end this. Posted on December 9, 2011 at 3:51 pm. I’ll be keep...
