This is a video i made unintentionally. somehow my camera created a video from the pics i took one morning. the still pics are great, but i love how this collage of video captures the magical mornings at the ingram's casa. now, if i could only figure out how i did that! A hike becomes more than a hike when you are accompanied by the world's most curious and adorable sidekicks. this was our first year that sunny and wills used their very own legs to get up the trail. our ventures this year were some of my shortest i can ever remember, but they were the BEST! Monday, April 29, 2013. Just a quick note about our little violinist. Sunny started violin a few months ago. We thought she might play the piano that Mammaw and Papa Ed gave us but she kept talking about the violin even though we had never seen a violin. At least we hadn't together. Go figure. Here she is at her first lesson. Dada has sincerely loved taking the kids to lessons over the past months. And here she his a couple months later with her first memorized recital. New York Philharmonic here we come!

It happens every year on this day. The first day that I attempt to wrap my head around what we might get our kids for Christmas. My plan (as always) was to put it on layaway today. Trying not to be at home or anywhere else that someone might ask me to do something for them. And then it hit me. Like a ton of bricks. And with extreme clarity. I am a grudge holder. 44 years into this freak show and I am starting to understand the me that I think I am. Naturally, I had to have a conversation with myself about this revelation. But it is so clear now. I am pretty good at forgiving.

Yesterday, he had to report to the new office. And much to my surprise, I am kinda bummed out. Initially, I was on the 'get my husband outta this house' band wagon. But in the last few weeks, I have realized that I really like having him here. But he was here. And we could eat lunch together. And have alone time. And it was so nice. It is my kid.
