A Dry and Thirsty Land… | christiancaregivingwife
https://christiancaregivingwife.wordpress.com/2014/11/10/a-dry-and-thirsty-land
For wives of chronically ill husbands. A Dry and Thirsty Land…. There is a time to speak and a time to remain silent- an oxymoron to anyone who blogs! At any stage of life, under any set of trials we are tempted to say the wrong things. Sometimes I silently listen to the wives who suffer, knowing where they are coming from, and yet I cringe at the words that come tumbling out. What words can I give back that could possibly encourage? 8220;O God, You are my God;. Early will I seek You;. You are commenting...

March 18, 2014 at 2:22 am. My hubby and I had this conversation this week. “So sick and tired of being sick and tired…” 10 years of little relief from pain and very few truly good days will seem so short, though, when we’re “home free”. Hope continually… | christiancaregivingwife
https://christiancaregivingwife.wordpress.com/2014/03/10/hope-continually
For wives of chronically ill husbands. Today I saw the first signs of spring in my yard- unexpected numbers of daffodils poking up their first green shoots! Snow covered those spots all week and for a few days it was so cold we barely dared to set foot outside. My husband rescheduled his doctor’s appointment due to bitter cold and icy driving conditions. Now winter weariness is melting into the first buds of spring. Spring is a season of hope! This entry was posted on March 10, 2014, in caregiving spouse.

For wives of chronically ill husbands. Checking In When Your Husband Is Checked Out…. Military wives, swing-shift wives, and wives of the chronically ill share this common ground. There are times when their hero is simply unavailable to them. “Checked out” is another phrase I’ve frequently heard. Recently I ran across this thought in another book I am reading by Jon and Stasi Eldredge called. 8220;Let me ask you a question: Where is Adam while the serpent is tempting Eve? To be truthful, though, like Lut...

For wives of chronically ill husbands. A Cloud of Witnesses. Faithfulness will rejoice in His word of promise, and rest upon that, though the performance be deferred and intermediate providences seem to contradict it. Those who know Him to be the Father of spirits, and an everlasting Father, will trust Him with their souls as their main care and trust in Him at all times, even to the end.” Matthew Henry, commentary on Psalm 9:10. It has been a pain-filled week, friends, and it has worn me down a lot. I am hoping that the jump in pain this weekend was due to a virus, as it was accompanied by a lot of extreme fatigue… I felt like an old woman this weekend, almost every movement felt painful and tiresome. It has been a tiring week. I have had loss, but there has also been gain. I have gained drive.

Christian Caregiver Relief
Caregivers rarely get respite or relief from their work. Christian Caregiver Relief tries to help the overlooked caregiver via the charitable Christian act of giving respite breaks to caregivers. The Carter, Cynthia, Granville, Madlyn Ryan Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit charity, doing business as Christian Caregiver Relief (CCR), that matches caregivers who need breaks with volunteers specially oriented to provide that service. Length of service is completely at the volunteer’s discretion and schedule.
